Its sad to read all those texts of date wolves pondering if you're a perfect match, of getting to know each other better, for nothing - it feels like a lie. Like those two-faced pixels are faking to be interested in our wolves, but in truth are making gigolo giggles behind the screens discussing how they'll snatch a few more gifts from you and move on at the end of the month. Makes me not want to do any dates at all, to be honest - I get attached easily, especially with how good the art is! those NPCs are gorgeous! and its a hard blow for me to "date" a wolf like that for a month, only for it to hightail in the end! Even being rejected by a pretty NBW wolf hurts, and here its a month of courting to get a "goodbye, it was fun" in the end?! Ill definitely not spare those lying two-faced "dates" any gifts. Join me to sulk a bit over our broken hearts? Those dates would have been SO much fun if only we could keep them later.	Mad Hyena #7152

Oh really? That's a bit of a bummer. I thought it might function like Wenet in Lioden's April event. Perhaps in the future we'll get to "claim" one of the wolves at the end of the event!

Maybe they don't want to put too many potentially "rare" wolves in the game at once? Some of these seem to have app/BO bases, marks and eyes after all.

I also thought so at first, seeing as there's a base and eyes listed, and Affection bar to fill, but there isnt a single word about being able to claim them in the News, and there's been a discussion in News post that admins didnt comment on - so it must be the case, just date and no wolf.

And T3 issue can really easily be fixed? Needing a top Affection bar takes giving the wolf perfect gifts, and if the wolf wants Base Applicators as gifts, it certainly wont be easy or cheap to get it.

Would make them even more special, if you have to work hard to gain their love?

That is true! I suppose if they were somewhat challenging to woo then it wouldn't be much of an issue. :)

Yeah! There already are T3 chaseys, that take a lot of luck to find - if some T3 G1s took a lot of GC-value to get their Affection high enough to claim them, it wouldnt imbalance market much because most people would instead go for more common, but still emotionally valuable wolves.

I guess they probably didnt do it because they wanted to release another event as soon as possible, and coding the claiming would take extra time.

Or maybe that feature was never intended, seeing as there's T3s in the NPC list, admins might never have considered letting us have them. Strange, to me - it really makes little sense to code dating when we are not meant to claim one. Why write the texts the way it implies those wolves want to form a serious bond to our wolves?

To let our hopes down in the end? To make us feel unwanted and rejected? Both of these are really anti-valentine so I doubt admins meant to do that, but somehow they did...

I'm smitten with a lot of them, and desperately want one to come to my pack. Honestly, I don't care if I could breed them or not. My wolf and I have an attachment, give us our bae! 😭

Yeah, same here! Even just the starter 3 wolves Im already torn between which one I like most. They have so much personality and character, and not being able to claim one of them to continue that story just really... makes it feel not worth it even doing that feature.

Ill just stick to explore and matching other wolves. The dates? No, not getting involved with them just to have my heart guaranteed broken in the end.

I agree it is an odd challenge. I don't play dating sim... anything.

My lead has decided the Alphas of other packs are only joining to spy on each other. She counter-spies and comes home to her mate every night to update him with the intelligence she gathers. Ghul Pack has orders to attack on sight if they see Brad enter their territory.
