She would give a warble again and nuzzled him. He sighed and said "Maybe at night when she comes out to read" She would give a happy warble and swish her tail happily.

Posted 2023-02-13 19:44:09 #954406 Kari left the garden for lunch and spent the rest of her day inside in boring tea parties and getting measured for new clothes. After dinner she bathed and changed into a nightgown and a robe. She gathered up a few books and quietly went out her balcony door to the garden. She settled on a bench next to the koi pond and started reading by lamp light.

Posted 2023-02-14 20:29:25 #955066 Night smiled as he carried Snow. He jumped over the fence with ease and would hide in the bush near the koi pond then waited. After a couple of hours waiting he saw her walk to the pond and read. He let go of Snow and she bolted for Kari. She would warble and sit in front of her with a wag of her tail. She gave a louder warble to alert her to her.

Posted 2023-02-15 04:47:00 #955288 Kari jumps slightly in her seat as the dragonet comes scurrying out of the bushs blinking at her before looking up. "Your back," she says as she sets her book down. She wore her robes over her nightgown to keep herself warm in the chilly night. "Your gonna get caught if you keep coming here… why do you keep coming here?" She asks tilting her head in the direction of Night hoping she wasn't talking to a bush and he was actually there. She looked down at the dragonet and reached her hand out gently to scratch her head.

He shyly looked away while walking towards her.  He sat next to her and didnt look at her. Snow warbled and nudged Kari then looked at Night. She puffed some smoke out of her nose and tilted her head.

I never give trust unless im given trust...." he gave a sad smile at her and wondered what was going to happen to snow if he was ever caught. He sighed and snow jumped up next to Kari with a happy warble. Night laughed and Snow licked Kari in the face.

"I didn't realize we had a dragon egg… I'm glad she wasn't stuck in that egg forever…" Kari says softly looking at Night. "Why do you keep coming here? It can't be because of the dragonet wanting it," she says wanting the truth and not him to lie.

He mumbled the last part and petted Snow. Snow bit his hand and would warble at him. Night sighed and said "I trust you with my life as I..... " he trailed off when Snow perked up. She growled at something and Night pushed Kari away getting hit by an arrow going for her. He yelped and the growled as he stood up. He pulled a dagger out and attacked the hidden attacker. After they were dead, he wobbled and collapsed.

Posted 2023-02-15 11:37:09 #955496 Kari yelped as he shoved her away gasping as an arrow flew past her face. She waited till everything went silent keeping her head down. She sat up looking around worriedly before seeing Night on the ground and her eyes widen. She ran over to him panicked. "Hey, hey wake up," she says carefully rolling him onto his back to press her hand to the arrow wound. Blood welled between her fingers.
