We will make it out alive.... I promise." he smiled more and would climb the fence and would leave the area. He made it to his hidden camp near a river. He would make a fire and set the egg near it to warm it up. He would softly curl around the egg and watched the fire.

Posted 2023-02-13 17:50:24 #954346 When morning came around and Kari woke up she sat up panicking as she looked around. It was morning and she relaxed rubbing her head. Was it a dream? Was he actually here? Kari thought to herself before getting dressed hastily and rushing to the vault. The entire estate was still freaking out about the break in. "Oh Kari thank heavens. Someone stole the dragon egg!" Karis mother says seeming terrified. "Mother I'm sure it was just a thief. I doubt they would try to kill any of us," Kari says nervous now that it was confirmed that the elf did steal the egg.

Posted 2023-02-13 18:03:42 #954371 Night would wake with a startle when he heard a cry. He yawned and looked at the egg which was empty. He panicked and looked around with wide eyes. He then saw a small blue snout to his left. He turned his head seeing a beautiful blue and white hatchling. He smiled and would hold his hand out slowly. The baby dragon chirped and sniffed his hand then would lick it with a warble. Night smiled and would get up to go hunting for fish or deer. The baby would follow behind him.

She kept thinking about the elf slightly panicked with the fact he got into her room but he was gentle, his eyes even though not normal were pretty, and he seemed genuine about the dragon thing. Kari sighs as she eats breakfast her parents on edge about what happened and oblivious. She finished and excused herself before walking out of the room and walking to her room where she grabbed a book and walked onto the balcony to sit in the garden and read. She hoped to distract herself.

Posted 2023-02-13 18:24:42 #954385 He would give a loud laugh saying "Easy! Be gentle!" His laughs could be heard as he was very loud. He played with the hatchling with a huge smile. He would feed the baby dragon some fish he had caught with his hands. He smiled and said "Easy...." the baby would snuggle him and she would snatch the fish from his hand and eat. Night chuckled and would pet her. She gave a happy warble and would finish the fish in a couple of seconds. She the would fly up and flew to the smell of flowers. Night panicked and would follow at a run. He caught up to the hatchling watching someone with a tilt of her head. He gave a soft sigh and would grab her. He started to turn still hidden when he saw it was Kari. He smiled softly and would step on a twig making it snap loudly. He froze hidden in the bushes.

She looked up hearing the snapping of a twig close by slowly setting her book down. "Hello?" She asks warily as she stood. Her eyes searched for the source quietly slightly nervous and on edge.

Be careful!" he frowned and would look at her with a worried grin. He would back up and told the dragon "Go back to the cave. Ill meet you their...." She would fly off with a warble but not before she nuzzled Kari. Night facepalmed and would sigh loudly. "Sorry about that mistress...." he said with a bow.

She asks looking at him bewildered. "Is that… the egg you stole hatched?" Kari asks suddenly curious about the dragonet before panicking. "You can't be here! They'll arrest you on sight," Kari says.

I need to go but if you ever need e just whisper my name and ill be there. I owe you for knocking you out with the sleep powder...." he waved and would jump to a tree branch and would wave. He jumped past the tree and would keep going till he made it to the fence. He would see the hatchling saying "What am I going to call you?" she chirped and nuzzled him. He chuckled and would lead her to the river.

Posted 2023-02-13 19:21:09 #954397 Kari blinks as he disappears again before trying to follow him and got to the fence. "I can't climb that…" she mutters and sighs. She walked back to the garden to retrieve her book. She hoped he'd come back.
