Who killed Jackalyn? CLOSED

Posted 2023-01-29 21:31:00
Maybe someone was planning a revenge, Jackalyn may have some issues with someone and that person ?
Maybe the murderer was invited by Jackalyn herself in her house and that way avoid any security, and it would make it a lot easier to be alone with her
Was the mention of a lover made up? Maybe he was secret and like that he could come to see her and the maid and the cook wouldn't know a thing
I really believe in a revenge or someone who wanted the money, probably someone very close in that case

Do we know anything about her relationships with the maid and the cook?Did Jackalyn pay them on time, or was she behind? Did the maid feel abused somehow? She would have had easy access to a knife from the kitchen, as would the cook. Was a knife or any other bloody and sharp object left at the scene?

Edit:
Ah, wait a minute... the  maid and cook are not of interest, since one of US was chosen as murderer. But, since we were not given any roles, how are we supposed to figure that out? We don't know anything about each other, other than that we are all friend of Jackalyn ...

Btw, how old was Jackalyn? Are we talking about a young woman or a granny?

True if she was an old lady it would have been easier to kill her, but maybe the cook or the maid could be complicit in the murder of Jackalyn

Jackalyn is 68
The 15 people sometimes come around for dinner, apparently there was a dropped note in the driveway that says "10:30 p.m. she better be dead."

Items found at the scene of the crime were:
Knife
Rope
A list of even numbers.

Rope? That might render the theory that the murderer didn't expect Jackalyn would resist null as if they knew Jackalyn would just fold they wouldn't bother
Where did the knife and rope come from?
At least we kinda know that the murderer isn't a professional because cello tape is more flexible and thus harder to get out from

Are we sure she was folded? Then maybe they were two? Floding someone alone can be quite hard even it she was kinda old

Who had acces to the kitchen? Only the cook or maybe the maid but since we were here to eat, it means the cook had to work and stay in the kitchen, how can someone pass the cook?

Not to mention who got out of the mansion? Maybe the killer took the rope before they entered the mansion
