Founding

Pack Founder- Birch and her mate Sycamore.
The pack was founded under the name of the Mossbark Pack after Birch fled her homeland, an unidentifiable catastrophe destroying the land and family she knew. Sycamore was from a neighboring pack and they met as they desperately fled. They soon found a land that seemed safe, and started to carve a life for themselves. They met a few other wolves whom they became friends with, and established a territory within the open grasslands. Birch was soon expecting a litter of pups, but prey was scarce. She had two pups, Sapphire and Flint. But she knew they couldn't properly care for them both, once they were older. So she took Flint to a fabled bear who takes care of pups. She was full of regret, but knew this would be better, that at least one of her children would survive.
Sapphire forgot of Flint's existence, and was raised as the sole heir to the Mossbark pack. She wasn't the strongest, but was highly motivated. She often when out scouting with her father, even before the age she really should have.
Soon, Birch had dreams of the lunar lands, and saw the threats it brought. It made her stronger, but she knew this threat was larger than their pack. This threat may have had a part in her homeland's destruction. However, she saw the beauty in this lunar land, that it wasn't all bad.
As Birch had these dreams, Sapphire had dreams of her own. Dreams of a god without a name, a shadow figure and a sky of crimson. As a yearling, she became more distant from her parents, doing missions for her god while out scouting. She even changed her name to Nessus, the home of her god. She also began to change physically, her fur becoming unnatural, her eyes having a subtle glow.
Soon, outsiders began to flood to the territory, hearing of Nessus and her strange dreams. They claim to have connections to other planes, also changing their names in honor of their gods. Their gods seemed to have conflicting view, but they could all agree they were stronger together.

Nessus's Reign

Over the years, Nessus became convinced of looming outside threats- a 'coming storm' as her god put it. She knew that she needed to lead- that her mother wouldn't have what it takes. So she took it into her owns hands.
story in bio- TW: mild violence, death
After her mother's death, the 'coming storm' made itself clear- in the form of the events collectively known as The Cataclysm. This only strengthened Nessus's resolve, and most of the packs loyalty to her and her rule.
A few months into her reign, she decided they needed to move into a more defensible position, leading the pack into an open territory within the coniferous forest. They settled right up near the edge of the mountains, having guard shifts that watch out over the horizon from cliff tops above. Dens were made in caves along the mountain side, beneath tree roots- pretty much anywhere they could be found. It wasn't the most comfortable at first, but they made it work, the population booming. In these times, the pack name was changed- Morrow's Peak, inspired by the mountain peak in the distance that seemed to shimmer in the night.
Nessus met the love of her life, Shadowfell, in these times. No one thought it would last, but it lasted up until their death. In the last years of Shadowfell's life, everything seemed relatively peaceful. Guard shifts were becoming less common, hunting was plentiful, and they always had a stockpile of herbs that would last them months. It was then when Shadowfell produced their son, heir apparent of the Morrow's Peak Pack, Postulate.

WIP

Notable wolves with lore in bios: Birch (TW: mild violence, death), Sycamore (mention of death), Divina, the Astral Oracle, Brachy Boy-o Tenebris (WIP)

House/Families:
Valyrian: descendents of Queen Allura; children of hers that would take over leadership in case of her untimely death.
Sylvasidus: "Wild Skies", descendents of Adon (bastard child of Allura and granddaughter of Nessus) and Earthsky (of the Pack of Rabbits).
Kalama: descendents of Kalama, influential stalker and lead of the Flame's End hunting party.
Arborea: descendents of Arborea, the longest standing member of the pack. Due to lucky (or unlucky) circumstances, she was given a chance to live a second life.
Patronus: descendents of Ser Gélida, first High Constable of the Morrow's Peak Pack.
Empyrean: descendents of Lord Empyrean, the first proper court physician. One heir must be chosen to be the next physician. If no relatives are the family remain, an unrelated wolf with take over the family name.
Umbra: descendents of Creed. Most members of this family inherited her melanistic mutation.

Territory
The Morrow's Peak Pack resides in the northern tundra, not far from the northern ocean and where the glaciers begin. This area was heavily altered by the events of the first cataclysm; rocks jut out at strange angles, chasms seemingly randomly across the landscape. A strange energy lingers in the air, and this pack is intent on discovering any secrets left behind.
They live within one of the larger chasms, having put painstaking effort into carving walkways to reach the various caves that line the walls.
WIP
Denning
Denning is, first and foremost, broken into families. Most families possess their own, larger den, which everyone from that family shares. The royal family is allowed private dens for each family member besides the leading pair whom shares one. If a wolf is not a part of an established house, they sleep in caves based on their role- hunting parties share a cave, mentors share a cave, etc.
Caves are decorated based on the apparent ranking of the family. The royal family has the most lavishly decorated caves, of course.
WIP
Magick
The beginnings of magic in this pack are from fiendish influences- Nessus made the first pact with the god of devils, with many other wolves following suit. WIP
