Posted 2022-11-21 14:44:15 #884702 So I was working on pricing commissions, because I want to take both money and GC for them- and I wanted both options to be equal, so that everyone pays the same amount no matter what currency they use. This got me thinking- So for me it's 5 USD for my cheepist commission, so began by dividing 40 GC by 10 USD- which was really simple. I thought I might as well check the other deals to see if I was correct about this conversion rate. It was a lot more complex than just that, I'll say. So the number of GC per USD went up the more that was spent. There's the 40 GC for 10 USD, then we have the 25$ deal, which is for 110 GC- which converts to 4.4 GC, and then we have the 50$ deal for 230 GC, which converts to 4.6 GC per USD, and the 75$ deal for 370 GC which equals 4.93333…GC per 1 USD. Then the 100$ deal for 500 GC, which is obviously 5 GC per 1 USD. This… is not great if you're trying to price things accurately, and well, quickly. So in order to have a single number for conversion- I realized that you'd need an average. So, taking those conversion rates, I added them together, then divided by 5, in order to get my average. Drumroll please XD The average conversion rate for GC is 4.58 GC =1 US dollar. So GC rates are- 1 GC = 22 cents 2 GC = 44 cents 3 GC = 66 cents 4 GC = 88 cents 5 GC = 1.09 USD How to make this calculation if you want to know how much money you have in GC Number of GC / (divided by) 4.58 the average of GC per dollar How to make the calculation of pricing GC to be the same value as USD Number of Dollars * (multiplied by) 4.58 the average of GC per dollar = Number of GC (round up or down as needed) So some examples- 1 USD = 4.58 GC - rounded up: 5 GC 2 USD = 9.16 GC rounded down: 9 GC 3 USD = 13.74 GC rounded up: 14 GC 4 USD = 18.32 rounded down: 18 GC 5 USD = 22.9 rounded up: 23 GC 6 USD = 27.48 rounded down: 27 GC 7 USD = 32. 06 rounded down: 32 GC 8 USD = 36.64 rounded up: 36 GC 9 USD = 41.22 rounded down: 41 GC 10 USD = 45.8 rounded up: 46 GC 15 USD = 68.7 rounded up: 69 GC 20 USD = 91.6 rounded up: 92 GC 25 USD = 114.5 rounded up: 115 GC 30 USD = 137.4 rounded down: 137 GC 40 USD = 183.2 rounded down: 183 GC 50 USD = 299 does not need to be rounded: 299 GC 100 USD = 458 does not need to be rounded: 458 GC 200 USD = 918 does not need to be rounded: 918 GC 300 USD = 1,274 does not need to be rounded: 1,274 GC Hope this helped, and lemme know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns! The average conversion rate for GC is 4.58 GC =1 US dollar.

So GC rates are-
1 GC = 22 cents
2 GC = 44 cents
3 GC = 66 cents
4 GC = 88 cents
5 GC = 1.09 USD
How to make this calculation if you want to know how much money you have in GC
Number of GC / (divided by) 4.58 the average of GC per dollar

How to make the calculation of pricing GC to be the same value as USD
Number of Dollars * (multiplied by) 4.58 the average of GC per dollar = Number of GC (round up or down as needed)

So some examples-
1 USD = 4.58 GC - rounded up: 5 GC
2 USD = 9.16 GC rounded down: 9 GC
3 USD = 13.74 GC rounded up: 14 GC
4 USD = 18.32 rounded down: 18 GC
5 USD = 22.9 rounded up: 23 GC
6 USD = 27.48 rounded down: 27 GC
7 USD = 32. 06 rounded down: 32 GC
8 USD = 36.64 rounded up: 36 GC
9 USD = 41.22 rounded down: 41 GC
10 USD = 45.8 rounded up: 46 GC
15 USD = 68.7 rounded up: 69 GC
20 USD = 91.6 rounded up: 92 GC
25 USD = 114.5 rounded up: 115 GC
30 USD = 137.4 rounded down: 137 GC
40 USD = 183.2 rounded down: 183 GC
50 USD = 299 does not need to be rounded: 299 GC
100 USD = 458 does not need to be rounded: 458 GC
200 USD = 918 does not need to be rounded: 918 GC
300 USD = 1,274 does not need to be rounded: 1,274 GC
