Today I have a suggestion that would hopefully not be too hard to add but would help a ton of people nonetheless. Currently posts are limited to 20,000 characters unless the owner happems to reserve the replies immediately at the top of their post - giving them an additional 20,000 characters for each reply. This is all fine and dandy - until it's not and you didn't anticipate just how much space you would need or just how many characters your HTML would take up and you're out of space being forced to create a new topic or condense. The problem tends to lie with certain types of posts - mainly User-Created Guides, Sales or adoptions posts, and clans with things like stud directories or sales forums but can also sometimes happen anywhere! I have two different suggestions to fix this. The first being a button labeled 'extra post' or something on the main post where the author can press to add a second post directly below the first. The second option would be the ability to create a reply and then pin it so that it would appear at the top of the first page. I did create a small mockup of the pin and it's location for a general idea. Though I would imagine this would be blue instead of the default pin emoji.

I figure that all pinned messages could have a short message in small lightly-colored font like such, with the 'page 6' linking directly to the original message to allow easy access to it if need be. |
