Hello!

I'm 'relatively' new, I've played Wolvden off and on, but I'm only starting to really level up my wolves etc.
I never created a lore (working on that now).
My den is a mess, gameplay wise I don't know which direction I'm going in, which bloodlines I want to continue, etc. I've thought of using a spreadsheet den tracker.

How do you organize your dens? How do you decide who you want to keep, breed, let go, etc?

I currently have two hunting parties, two scouts, a herbalist, and 1 pupsitter. I am deciding if the new wolves should become hunting party 3 etc, or replace older wolves.

Thanks!

Hello!

These type of questions are more of what you want, everyone organizes their dens in a different way. Take mine for an example! I only have 2 wolves (Not including my alpha). I chased off all my other 30+ wolves from my pack, why? Because I didn't want that responsibility, I didn't want to forget anything. Like, "Is my herbalist forging?" Or, "Are my hunters hunting now?" For someone who has a busy life, it's a lot to take on. Also yes, there were a few wolves I really wanted to keep but I couldn't.

Everyone has different opinions about how they sort through all their wolves and what wolves they keep and chase off. But really it's just what you think is right, if you think you need to shrink your pack then shrink it!

Two hunting parties are great!
Two scouts are good too! (Tip, the wolves with more stats are better for the role)
Pupsitters are more of a, "Do I want to keep most of the pups?" Type of question. I don't have any because I don't care for the pups and I know that they would die due to starvation in my pack.
I think you should stick with 2 hunting parties, three hunting parties is just asking for a lot of extra food. That is, unless you have a big pack.
I think if a wolf is over 7 years old, then they should retire. (My opinion)

Once again, this is all my opinion. You don't have to do what I do, it's just how I roll!
(Tip. If you want a pup to be in a role in the future then train it when it's an adolescent so it gains more experience)

I hope this answers your questions, I might have gone a little over board...

Thanks for taking the time to answer this!

I get having 2 wolves, it must have been hard to let some go, but bigger dens are a lot to manage! I've found sometimes when life gets busy but I still want to log in it's hard to keep them all fed xP

Thank you, this advice really helps! Yeah I think it's a matter of deciding what wolves I like. I used to breed them a lot but then I was getting attached to the pups and wanting to keep everyone, but I didn't have a need for all of them. I'll probably stick with two hunting parties until it becomes too much.

Thanks for your advice! :)
