Amberblaze - they/she - warrior

The chocolate tabby rose as dawn came over the camp. Their fur felt sodden and dense as it had been packed with the mud in the camp. Amberblaze knew that the Sun's Garden had reason for this practice, but she already had darker, muddy looking fur. They felt the whole practice to be unnecessarily universal. Lighter cats like the deputy would definitely benefit from such a practice, and the whole clan seemed to look like a different band of cats as their coats sit muddied. The whole interaction the day prior had left them on edge, and they just wanted to hide out with Stormclaw as the day and night rode out. Surely these cats wouldn't trust StormClan to take on any real tasks.

Lilacivy - he/him - camp

The tom shook softly from his sleep, causing a bit of the dry muck to fling from his coat. The entire camp was so moist, he wondered how any of the mud on his body had managed to dry in the first place. The clan seemed to be accounted for, adjusting or still resting, but at least they were all at peace even if it was only for the night. Surely the heiress would have some insane lessons about their customs planned for the cats, and he could only imagine how some of the more stubborn cats would receive that information. Slowly he began to pad around, looking over his clan, but also looking for one cat in particular. Breammist. He hadn't really gotten to speak to her much since they'd arrived here, and he wondered if he could sneak in some time with the she now.

Succulentnettle - She/her - Location: Sun's Garden

Succulentnettle slightly twitched in her sleep, subconsciously putting her dark brown paws over her eyes as the morning light appeared and the sun rose quietly. She had been dreaming about running around free in a meadow the night before, with only the wind's breeze to keep her company; so she easily woke up and stretched, her green eyes sparkled alertly for what the day had to bring and her ears perked in curiosity as she remembered where she was. Are the sun's garden cats awake yet? Succulentnettle wondered, looking around at her clanmates that surrounded her. At least no one's missing yet! She confidently thought, not really bothering to ever actually count how many cats Stormclan had left. Her muddied pelt was dry by now, and she began to clean over the mud, she wanted to know if it was possible to make it wet again. Despite being a Thunderclan-born cat, she much preferred having her dust/sand-colored rosetted fur wet since it helped her run around faster. It made her feel as if she wasn't trapped anywhere, by any rules, and that she could go anywhere she thought of. Her wounds still stung - worsened by the mud although it did stop the slight bleeding she still had, but in her mind they no longer existed to her as she wasn't focused on them at the moment. Succulentnettle yawned, before leaping to her feet and walking away from the location Stormclan was left to rest. She still stayed relatively close to her clan, but her heart longed to explore as she padded just out of sight of the rest of her clanmates; only her long tail color seeable from there sleeping area. In her eyes, it was beautiful here. And surely all pretty things meant good?

Crowheart - Warrior - he/him - Location: StormClan sleeping area -> camp

Crowheart had no dreams during the night, but he did wake at the tiniest of sounds. Throughout the night, he had wearily raised his head when he had heard sounds. He was anxious about two things. One, that the Nightwalkers would somehow still come for them. Two, that Sun's Garden would murder StormClan in their sleep. Thankfully, neither of those things happened.

In the morning, Crowheart carefully made his way away from the large tree StormClan had slept at. His stomach grumbled hungrily. He hadn't eaten since before the battle, when he had shared a mouse with... with Graythorn. The thought of his dead sister brought a fresh wave of grief upon the tom.

I should hunt. Or do something, he thought as he looked around. A few of his Clanmates were awake, too. Some of Sun's Garden were also awake. Seeing the feathers and leaves and twigs in their pelts reminded him of what Nightglory had said the night before. We'll need those, too... A choice between whether to hunt or wait for instructions was quickly decided with a glance towards the pyre. After seeing how Sun's Garden was so... okay with sacrifice, Crowheart didn't want to find out about possible punishments. So, he sat down and almost started grooming his mud-covered pelt. "No grooming, I guess," he muttered under his breath, wrinkling his nose at the mud.

Little Brown - Kit - he/him - Location: StormClan sleeping area

Little Brown had slept during the night and continued to sleep after the sun had risen. He was a kit, after all. He was curled up beside Sparrowsong and Mosskit in a comfy nest made of moss. The journey had exhausted them all. Even other cats passing by their nest didn't wake the young kit. He dreamed about the cats he had met since he had been saved from the lake. Sparrowsong, Featherspire, Cloversong, Blizzardwhisker...

Chrysanthemum "Chrys" - Stalker - they/them - Location: Den -> Pyre

Chrysanthemum stretched, readying themself for a new day. They yawned and stretched their claws. As a young stalker, hunting was their main job, but Chrys always did one thing every morning, and it was greeting Snakeroot. They padded over to Snakeroot, who had watched over the fire throughout the night. "Mornin' Snakeroot," they purred, "How's their leader? Still dead?" They glanced curiously at the burning pyre where Applestar's body was the night before. "He's been burning," Snakeroot answered and stood up to stretch. "Oh," Chrys frowned, sounding a little disappointed, "Maybe he doesn't have those extra lives, then." "Outsiders are outsiders, Chrys. It's best we don't have too much to do with them," Snakeroot said sternly. "I know I know..." Chrys sighed, but their gaze drifted over to the tree StormClan had slept at. A few of the outsiders were up and about now.

As Snakeroot left to take a break, Chrys started watching the awake outsiders. They spotted a white one, their white fur still somewhat visible under the mud. White fur... So much of it, too. They're missing a leg. Nightwalker? I wonder how much it hurt. What does it even feel like? It must feel weird. Their gaze shifted over to a black cat. Nice pelt. But, they don't look too good. Did they not sleep? Surely they're not that dumb. They're sad, too. And... they don't look like they like mud very much.

Caladium - Sentinel - He/him - Location: Sun's Garden Camp

@Requested Snowwhisper

Caladium had spent much of the night keeping watch over the Sun's Garden camp. It was up to him and the other Sentinels to make sure that no harm came to any cat, and if it did then they were in major mouse dung. However, nothing majorly interesting had happened that night and he thanked whatever higher power that watched over them, and for the Earth and plants for hiding him and his fellow protectors. He gave his pelt a small shake as he stretched slowly to get rid of any lingering stiffness. Not that he sat down all night long, he wandered the boundaries of their home to keep watch. But sometimes he had to remain extremely still in order to remain undetected. Cal noticed that the outsiders were starting to wake and leave the area that Nightglory had deemed to be their sleeping grounds. He watched as Amaryllis approached one of the cats and he was intrigued to see it was the big snowy tom. Well... not so snowy anymore, his pelt was covered in mud. Internally Cal wondered how long the tom would last given that his fur was much lighter (when not covered in mud), and he only had three legs. But he supposed that if he had survived this long then he must be a strong and determined cat. He flicked his tail; it didn't matter because he wasn't planning on getting friendly with any of them. But upon seeing the confusion on the tom's face as Amaryllis walked away, he felt the need to walk over. Call it curiosity. "You all good there, Outsider?" Cal asked.

Stormclaw-Warrior-He/him-Location: Stormclan Sleeping Area

Stormclaw had spent most of the night trying to console his sister and convince her to sleep. Sunpine had been refusing to rest ever since the death of their littermate, it had shaken them both to the core. Eventually the she-cat had drifted off and Stormclaw had remained awake in order to look after her, so he was most definitely exhausted when the sun came up. Sunpine was still sleeping and Stormclaw sniffed at her herb covered wounds, he didn't know much about healing, but he wasn't a mousebrain. He knew what an infection looked like but thankfully that wasn't the case here. He gave his sister's ear a gentle lick before leaving the sleeping area, stretching out his stiff muscles. He resisted the urge to give his pelt a good washing, not enjoying the mud and feathers that had been slathered on his pelt the night before. Stormclaw sighed before walking outside to see what was going on and if he could be helpful in any capacity.

Snowwhisper - Warrior - he/him - Location: Sun's Garden Camp

@Cal

He still had confusion written on his face, when another unfamiliar voice spoke, catching his attention. He looked over, spotting a tom who was very much referring to him. Snowwhisper looked him over. He was large, like many of the other cats here, but not to much taller than himself. His fur was a deep brown color and he had an abundance of fur around his neck. What stood out, however, was this cat's eyes. Deep, piercing, amber. They started at him, and Snowwhisper puffed his chest as he stood to face this cat, but it was in intrigue rather than intimidation. Perhaps this cat was a little more, usual, than Amaryllis.

"I'm.. alright." He responded, an edge of hesitancy on his voice, not really sure how he truly felt. "Just looking for... something, to occupy my time with, I suppose."

He looked around the camp, seeing the cats who were waking up, probably unsure of what to do as well. Applestar was gone, and it didn't seem like StarClan had spared him any more lives, and the Clan felt lost. He looked back up at the Sun's Garden cat after a pause of silence. "I'm Snowwhisper." He offered a hint of a smile, Making acquaintances and allies wouldn't be a bad thing while they were staying there.

Morning'Skies - Deputy - She/Her - Location: The Suns Garden

@open for interaction
She woke from her nightmare of the battle between the Nightwalkers and Clan cats. Morning'Skies got up quickly looking at all the Stormclan cats seeing some were missing, Must be already awake, She thought pushing back all the negative thoughts. She left the mossy tree roots and joined everyone by the pyre noticing Gold'Breeze still sitting close by.

Gold'Breeze - Warrior - She/Her - Location: The Suns Garden

@open for interaction
Gold'Breeze watched and stayed by Applestars burning corpse, refusing to leave when some of the cats for The Sun's Garden looked at her funny. She refused to leave when the sun went down, only when she felt a cold shiver of wind that reminded her of the moonstone did she shift ever so slightly. She felt as if the wind was whispering, as if it were alive. Gold'Breeze tried to pay no attention to the wind as she kept watching the pyre burn. She would stay there until the sun rose, probably even longer. Gold'Breeze knew she should sleep, they all had a busy day tomorrow, she just couldn't drag herself away from the mountain of fire. The way it danced in the night seemed like it was alive and happy, celebrating the death of a leader, and a friend she had ignored. She felt sadness, grief and took all it and molded it until it turned into anger. Anger she felt was a good way to keep the sadness and grief away, she could take her anger out on things instead of crying. Gold'Breeze didnt blame the cats of The Sun's Garden, it was their customs and rituals, she just didnt quite understand why they involved death. She couldn't help wondering who would be next? When the sun rose she decided to stay a little longer by the pyre, those who were waking had started to gather around the flames too.

Cypress - Novice - Stalker - He/Him - Location: The Suns Garden

@Chrysanthemum
He woke to the sound of cats waking. Cypress got up and wandered over to the place where the prey was stored, nothing. He shook his head, when did those outsiders eat last he thought. Cypress knew not to go hunting on his own, that would lead to consequences, so he sat on the edge of camp and waited trying to decide if he should approach one of the outsiders or not. Later he spotted Chrys, Cypress walked over. "Chrys, there's no food and i think that the outsiders might need to eat." He told them.

Minkfur- She/Her- Elder
@Crowheart, open to interaction
Blinking in the morning light the elderly she-cat rises. She grunts as her leg screeches in protest but that doesn't stop her from padding into the clearing, the mud caking her flank making her feel sluggish. She had nearly bit off the heads of the cats around her in stubborn anger when she put it on. While her flank wasn't as silky and pristine as her sisters had been she still took pride in it. She slumps a few feet away from the fire, looking away from the charred mess that used to be her prized apprentice. Glancing around she noticed most of the cats were around her height, a nice change from her having to stare down at whatever cat she happened to be chatting with. However another cat caught her eye. Crowheart was sitting nearby as well, obviously displeased with the fine coat of wet dirt he was adorned with. Minkfur lets out a soft snort and limps over to the black tom, not really caring if he wanted company or not. "The day we get this mud off is going to be the best day of my life, I can promise that" she grumbles, sitting down and clawing at the ground.

Breammist
@Lilacivy
Feathers. Or maybe flowers? Ooooo, maybe fish scales! That would be something no cat had seen before! Breammist lay in the clans designated sleeping area, sleepily thinking of things to decorate herself with. While Applestars death had disgusted her, she couldn't complain about the mud and all the pretty trinkets these cats wore. It made her feel comforted, at least at the moment. The mud provided a comforting feeling to her, as it reminded her of both her boggy Shadowclan home and the damp river banks she and her siblings would play in. Plus the smell helped her forget the horrid burnt one wafting off what used to be their late leader. Shaking herself out of her thoughts, she glances around trying to see if anyone was up; Featherspire was wondering, but Lilacivy caught her eye. Meeting his gaze, she sends him a tiny smile and motions to the empty space near her.

Caladium-He/him-Sentinel-Location: Sun's Garden

@Snowwhisper

Caladium tilted his head thoughtfully as he regarded the tom in front of him. Amusement flooded his amber gaze as the Outsider puffed his chest. Was he perhaps trying to prove something? Cal flicked his ear dismissively at the thought. The three-legged tom didn't seem arrogant or prideful, unlike that snowy furred molly that had been amongst the Outsiders. Frostmane was it? Or at least that was what he thought she had been called. He listened carefully as the clan cat spoke, making sure he didn't detect any veiled threats against the Sun's Garden. One could never be too careful.

"Snow...whisper." Caladium repeated slowly, making sure that he had heard correctly. He took a moment to ponder this and held back a small snort of amusement. "You clan cats sure have interesting names. They call me Caladium, or if that's too hard to say, I've been called 'Cal' for short." He answered politely. Snowwhisper's little smile had him feeling... off.  Caladium wasn't sure why but there was something different about the other tom that piqued his interest. Perhaps it was just because outsiders were rare in these parts and despite his mistrust of them, he was curious? Dismissing the thought, he looked at Snowwhisper thoughtfully. "Well... I'm not sure what our Seer has planned for your clan today. So I don't want to intrude on his plans, but perhaps I could introduce you to some of the cats here in the Sun's Garden? It might be helpful if you all are going to learn how to pull your own weight around here." Caladium offered. Part of him was confused on why he was trying to assist an outsider but again, call it curiosity.

Cloversong-Elder-She/her-Location: Stormclan Sleeping Area

Cloversong woke up with pain in her paws and an empty stomach. The elder shakily got to her paws despite how achy they were and began to sniff the air. She could smell many of her clanmates nearby and even some of the cats from the Sun's Garden. Part of her was envious as she wished she could see the place that would be their temporary home. She paused. Temporary home. The words felt strange to her, and she shuddered, her hackles rising along her spine. Cautiously she began to make her way out of the sleeping area, her paw steps slow and calculated. Though it frustrated her how she still kept tripping over own paws despite how careful she was being. But determination and sheer stubbornness kept the black furred she-cat from giving up and calling for assistance. Only two days ago she had been an independent warrior who fought her own battles, and despite now being an elder, she would not roll over and show her belly. She would try to be as independent as much as she could.

Crowheart - Warrior - he/him - Location: Camp

@Minkfur
Crowheart heard a voice and turned, looking away from his muddy pelt. It was the former mentor of Applestar, Minkfur, who had approached him. "Can't argue with that," he responded, "We're going to have to wear feathers and whatnot in our pelts, too." He grimaced at the thought of having things prick at his pelt all the time. He glanced at the elder and awkwardly asked, "How is... your, um, leg?" Crowheart then twisted to check his own wounds. He didn't smell any signs of infection, or maybe he couldn't due to the mud. "Such lovely mud," he grumbled with an irritated flick of a torn ear.

Chrysanthemum "Chrys" - Stalker - they/them - Location: Camp

@Cypress
Chrysanthemum looked over at the sound of Cypress' voice, a little startled that someone had come up to talk to them. "For sure they'll need to eat," they said quietly after a heartbeat. As they considered whether or not to wait for another cat to join the hunt, their gaze stayed on Cypress. Chrys tilted their head as they thought, making it all the more awkward for Cypress as Chrys stared at him. Eventually, Chrys said, "I suppose we could go now. To hunt." Without waiting for a response, they made their way towards the exit of camp.

Featherspire — He/They/Xe — Healer
@Fadedpaw

Featherspire had finished their usual grooming, delicately rasping their tongue over the patches of fur that weren't covers in mud. They felt another growl of hunger, and started to aimlessly chew their claw, trying to ebb the hunger pangs. They wouldn't eat, no no, not yet. Not until the clan was safe. Even if that time never came, Featherspire had to put the clan first. Or they'd all die… like Applestar.

Xer eyes of green-brown light glanced over to a somber looking caliby, one xe knew quite well, but had never seen so upset. Featherspire slunk towards the upset she-cat, and hesitantly sat beside her, but was careful not to touch her in case xe were invading their space. Featherspire stared absently at Goldbreeze sitting beside the pyre, feeling empty.

"You didn't sleep well either, did you." He rasped, and pulled a yawn as if to empathize his exhaustion. "I was going to go ask Nightglory for permission to gather herbs. Do you want to come?" Featherspire wasn't quite comfortable with asking the Seer yet. He was impressive, and grand, but very, very intimidating.

Blizzardwhisker — She/Her — Deaf
@Goldbreeze, Plumflame

She had slept somewhat decently, but woke up early as usual. She had nested near the sleeping Little Brown and his queen Sparrowsong, and Blizzardwhisker had lay there, solemnly watching the molly and her two kittens. There was a ugly gash where one of Sparrowsong's eyes had been, and Blizzardwhisker had turned her head away and began to settle in. I was always deaf, im used to it. But these cats.. they've never been injured this badly.

She sidled over to the pyre that morning, absently watching the flames lick over the wood and the heap of ash that had been Applestar. Goldbreeze was sitting near, who she knew as Applestar's not-quite-friend-but-not-quite mate. She envied the she-cat a little— she longed for some time of love, but the only cat who had spared her a passing glance had turned out to be no better then crowfood. Speaking of said crowfood, She growled under her breath when Plumflame pranced over, his black pelt glossy. He hadn't even applied garb yet. He didn't say anything, but kept making passing glances towards Blizzardwhisker, and feeling uncomfortable she turned to Goldbreeze.

"I'm sorry, you liked him, yes?" she tipped her head, her pelt prickling as Plumflame's eyes were directed on her. What did he want? If he wanted to apologize, she wasn't forgiving him.
