Tiago grew more and more concerned as he listened to the woman speak, but he didn't dare say anything until she was finished. Once he was certain she was done with her lovely rant, he began to respond to the thousand questions she'd asked.

"I can speak to women just fine; You simply don't catch my interest. Who she is to me is none of your business, and maybe you should keep your thoughts to yourself. I'm here because: None of your business." He rolled his eyes, taking note of the way she was speaking.

"Quite frankly, I don't care for your opinions on the tremendous acts of wrath us humans have commited, but what I do find to be concerning is that you keep saying 'Humankind' as if you're not a part of it." He narrowed his eyes, looking her up and down.

"As for my goals, my only current objective is to win a round of Mario Kart against the devil. I sure do hope you weren't looking for something more. . interesting." He raised an eyebrow, seeming suspicious of her.

I know what I saw, and her behavior is unmistakable. I can't attack her, though, until I have concrete proof. If word gets out that I killed a human, I'm fucked. He argued with himself internally, still tempted to wipe the earth from underneath them and leave.

"What about you? What're you doing out here? You made some valid points about the forest's shortcomings, which implies you live nearby." He asked, sounding neutral rather than friendly or hostile. "It's an awful long way back to campus, you know." His stance revealed nothing about his intentions, but he was ready to attack and defend should the need arise.

Shi couldn't help but laugh as he spoke, she couldn't even stop to catch her breath. Her hand covered her face and she threw her head back, her spine bending backwards unnaturally far. Her laugh, no, cackle continued for several moments before she eventually got herself to calm down. The half-breed was able to feel Tiago's eyes burning into her. This only caused a thin, cruel smile to twist onto her face.

"I do not interest you? That's ironic seeing as you chose to attempt a conversation with me rather then to just disappear as quickly as you came. It's also funny to me because now I know you live around here and someone was watching me walk home. Huh. I wonder who that could have been. If my deductions are correct...," she trailed off as she moved quicker than light and was standing just an inch away from Tiago, her face nearly meeting his. The rings in her eyes began to glow blood red as her cruel smile was still plastered on her face.

"That was you," she hissed in his ear. Even though she was uncomfortably close to Tiago, if he were skilled he would know she wasn't posing an immediate threat. She hadn't withdrawn or made any movements to withdraw a weapon, nor did her body language give off any sign of aggression whatsoever. Her head cocked as she stared down at Tiago, just a few inches taller than him. She pulled back slowly to be several feet away from him and chuckled softly, her face drowned out by the shadows of her hood.

"So quite frankly, I do believe it's my business. But if I am wrong, oh great wise one...," she trailed off. Shi slowly raised her head and looked up at Tiago.

"Please do correct me." She eyed him up and down with a knowing look in her eyes. She's heard of him and his capabilities and if he were smart he was probably thinking of ways he could attack her party here and now. Shi, though she's thriving in the adrenaline, also knew how to think strategically.

After all, she hasn't completely lost her mind.

Yet.

To anyone who didn't know Shi, it may look like she was spiraling. Like she was out of her mind and losing control. When in reality, her reaction time is enhancing, her endurance and stamina are enhancing, her intelligence is enhancing, every single little aspect that made Shi who she is, was enhancing. She was getting prepared because, well. She just couldn't help herself.

"You bring up the word Humankind. It's a rather common word to refer to Humans as a collective whole, is it not?" Shi shrugged slightly as if to dismiss the subject.

"No no, you're mistaken. I wish not for your company nor your interaction. You're merely in the way of where I am going. You stopped us and followed us back. Because you really thought some unruly little kids were going to follow you. Remember?" She chuckled again, her shoulders shaking as she did so.

"Mario Kart, interesting. I didn't take you for the type of guy who likes videogames. Figured you'd see them as a waste of time. If I'm being honest that is." She shrugged nonchalantly. Shi didn't care much for games. I mean. She is blind so it was a true waste of her time.

"That's an absurd question don't you think? You followed me, I figured you'd know," Shi snickered snidely. Her eyes flashed dangerously, though she kept her distance.

"You, your friends, and everyone else couldn't stop speaking about how much I like solitude. It's only natural I'd seek a home in the forest. Not to mention, none of you in the town nor the academy were particularly friendly to me." Shi's eyes flashed dangerously again.

"You all spread rumours about me, said vile things, even threatened to do even worse to me. Some went so far as to wish harm on those I care about in my life. Why? Is it because you fear what you don't know? Don't understand? Not once did someone respect me, purely because I transferred and I dress or slightly differently from the "normal" as it's called. I got challenged day after day, having to prove myself with no prevail. It continued and continued and continued until graduation," as Shi was speaking she was taking slow steps towards Tiago.

"So I chose to seek refuge in this forest where most people don't dare to wander for too long. Sure it's far from the town, sure it's far from the academy. But it prevents those who wish ill will against me from targeting my home, my belongings, and my loved ones. I'm not different from you Tiago, I have those I care about and there are individuals out there far worse than you that wish to rip them away from me," she snarled, her face falling into the shadows once more.

"It's only natural that I came here, wouldn't you agree? Aren't you out here for the same reason? You have those you cherish and you wish to keep them out of harms way? I don't think I'm too far off Tiago. I have a feeling you're underestimating the gravity of everything around you. It shows, truly it does. You've proven it throughout your life how ignorant and naïve you can be. But it's only natural for us all, yes?" Even though Shi was hyped up on adrenaline, her fangs and horns remained hidden. She was extremely conscience and aware of her predicament.

"That's the only reason you're playing Mario Kart, hm? That's a common...kid's game. Is it not? Are you playing with that little girl who disappeared and presumably ran home? I understand now, Tiago. You seek solitude for the very reason I do. It's quite interesting really," Shi trailed off looking in the direction she had felt a unstable presence disappear to.

"You know how every being is able to sense the aura of other beings around them? And that's how they determine one another's strengths?" Shi was saying, more than asking. She held a knowing look in her eyes as they shone brightly. She had stopped approaching Tiago and stood about a foot away from him now.

"She has similar capabilities to you, yet she's unstable. Is she not? Her aura is scattered, constantly moving, though never flowing. It's interesting really, she was born with this defect, was she not? She cannot control her capabilities... Further reasoning for you to come and seek the forest as your saviour. In case she were to ever erupt." Shi clicked her tongue, her eyes widening slightly.

"It's all starting to come together now," Shi said, clicking her tongue three times after she spoke. Shi was able to monitor any being around her and sense the existence of someone's aura from a mile away. It wasn't a surprise she was able to feel a weak unstable aura that was retreating. Though, it didn't explain why she couldn't spot Tiago's or anyone in his residence.

Were they too far?

No that wouldn't explain Tiago.

Was it just the girl and him?

No they're both healthy and he bought medicine. There's someone else nearby or in his residence.

Is he masking it?

... He's masking his aura like she is, and managed to mask his house.

Shi narrowed her eyes, this was all so interesting to her and she couldn't help but relish in all of the information she has been able to find out, from simply putting two and two together.

"You need not worry about me Tiago, after all, we're leaving here. The academy was a waste, full of misinformation that bored me to death. The sparring partners even more so boring. Their words were their sharpest weapon," Shi grumbled with a roll of her eyes.

"That is unless of course, you are interested in me and have a motive beyond my current knowledge?"

Roomie is sick rn, so I'll be on and off today! ))

Tiago found it curious how she kept moving around, and couldn't seem to stay in one place for more than a minute or so. He was gritting his teeth in order to not lash out about the things she was. . very accurately guessing, and kept repeating the same thing to himself over and over again.

Don't get defensive. Don't get defensive. Don't get defensive.

He took a breath before responding, putting every ounce of willpower he had into not ending these freaks right here and now. It wouldn't be too difficult, buuuuut it was still highly illegal. At least until he had proof she wasn't human.

"I was already too far ahead by the time I knew to turn back. You think wanted to start a conversation with you? No. I just didn't want to seem like a creep who was following his classmate home." His tone was neutral, not aggressive.

"I suppose you're right about 'Humankind' being a general term, but it's hardly ever used by most humans unless it's in a classroom setting." He commented, still seeming suspicious of her.

"What I do and don't consider to be a waste of time is none of your concern, Shi. This conversation, though, seems to be a waste of both our time. And for the last fucking time- I. Did. Not. Follow. You." His tone grew slightly aggressive near the end, despite his best effort to keep himself in check. Even his aura was starting to flare up, but he hadn't yet noticed it. Ever since he was a small child, his parents had taught him to hide his aura, otherwise others may know of his ability.

"In case you haven't noticed, I never said a word about you. I didn't spread any rumors, and I didn't threaten you or your family. You and I have never even interacted before, Shi, so you can stop it with the goddamn hostility." He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in between two fingers. It was a common habit of his, but he normally made sure not to do such things outside of his own home. Today, it seemed he'd just had a rough day.

"Good to know I'm not your biggest threat, but I'm afraid I'm not the only naive one here." He remarked, not revealing what he meant by that. It had mostly just been him thinking out loud, but it came out in a way that could be identified as a threat to some.

Don't get defensive. Don't ge-

"You don't get to talk to me about my family, alright?! It's not a fucking defect." He snapped, glaring up at her. His eyes didn't glow naturally like Andrea's, but he could make them if he wanted to. It was all about manipulation, and he was able to bend the light if he tried. Sometimes, he did it to make his sister laugh, and feel less like a 'screw-up', but he didn't really do it aside from then.

Just leave. She's not worth your time.

The mask he was using on his aura was continuing to crack the angrier he got, despite his best efforts to stay calm.

"You and your freakshow of a family can do whatever you damn well please; It's not my business, but you don't get to go around assuming shit about mine. I've never done anything to you, or the ones you care about. Unless, of course, you've simply chosen to forget that part of our non-existent history." He growled, seeming genuinely pissed. He was glad he'd sent his sister back home, knowing she wouldn't want to be here for this. He didn't like losing his temper in front of her or the twins; It made him look too much like their father.

"Like I said before, my only plans are to play a damn video game. Right now, you're the one who seems to have an ulterior motive." He raised an eyebrow, still sounding somewhat aggressive.

(I hope they feel better soon!)

"Oh my...," she breathed, watching as he began to crack under pressure. She cackled again, bending over with her left hand on her left knee and her right hand on her face. After several seconds of this, she eventually calmed down and stood up straight once again.

"You say I can't comment on your family yet you insult mine in the very next breath?" Shi cocked her head before clicking her tongue in irritation.

"That's a bit hypocritical... Don't you think?" She chuckled once more. The four Kami's remained on edge and Masao was constantly follow Tiago's movements. Shi still wore her box on her back through the whole interaction. It was extremely lightweight for her and it was like she didn't even acknowledge how heavy it actually was.

"Say Tiago, you're starting to lose it," Shi began to cackle again. She was getting into his head.

Marvelous.

"Can I come over, I'd love to meet who your opponent is! I also think meeting your sister the proper way would be of most importance," Shi exclaimed with wide eyes, her grain sickeningly wide on her face.

"Maybe I can help whomever is sick," she continued, her eyes flashing once again. She began to giggle and her eyes never left Tiago's.

"So about the whole following thing, you say you're not following me blah blah blah. I actually believe that, though I don't believe you when you say you're not interested in me. Romantically? Sure, whatever. That's un-important. But. In broad terms, I think you were intrigued by something of me or something I did. And that you've been meaning to talk to me, and that's why I've been seeing you all around," Shi spoke calmly and rather matter-of-factly.

As Tiago's mask continued to slowly crack, Shi couldn't help but cackle, giggle, and laugh the whole time. It was all so amusing. It's how she said it earlier! Humans always get so, so emotional. His tone even took a switch to aggression. It didn't surprise Shi, after all she's been doing this for hundreds of  years.

"Not a defect? What a genetic mutation then? Still improper and not formed right. She's uncontrollable and her body may reject her, you know this. What happens when she never grows to control herself? Hm? What then?" Shi began to chuckle as he ran to the girl's defense so quickly.

"Don't get me wrong, I could care less if she implodes because I won't be here when it happens. Just know the town will be toast and anyone nearby is too," Shi said with a smirk. A giggle slowly slipped past her lips. She just couldn't help herself, it was all so easy.

Crack

Shi's smirk spread even more over her lips. Tiago was falling apart. He was acting on emotions and impulse, he's going to attack her soon. Unless he pulls his control back in.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk Tiago. Might want to get a grip on your aura if you intend to keep masking how strong you are forever," Shi taunted with a wide, sick smile on her lips.  The entire time that Shi was talking, she was constantly moving, walking and shifting around, even getting up close to Tiago. She never stood still, it wasn't something she was capable of. It also prevents her from being an easy target.

(Sorry this is rough, today has been hectic!)

She's doin' a little better now, but only because she's asleep :/ ))

"I'm only returning the favour." He rolled his eyes, ignoring her comments about him being a hypocrite. He already knew he was, so there was no need to hear it from her as well.

I should end her right here and now.        No- Nooope. Don't do that. Baaaaad idea, Tiago. He argued with himself internally as he listened to her rant.

"No, you may not come over. As for my 'interest in you', you see me around because we attend the same school, dumbass." He gritted his teeth slightly, still seeming to be on edge. He was ready to snap at any moment, but that seemed to change when she began speaking about Andrea.

The thought of Andrea losing control had crossed his mind many times before, though, he didn't care to admit it. He'd known from the day she developed her powers that it was a possibility for her to be a defect, but that had never changed the way he felt, or how much he loved her. The best he'd been able to do for her so far was give her suppressants, and avoid letting her use her powers. Even still, he knew it would never be enough.

His eyes seemed to have a slight haze over them, and he dropped his defensive stance. His tone of voice changed, too, but his aura remained cracked.

". . Of course I know it's a possibility. How could I not? Hell, I practically raised her. Just. . fuck off, Shi." He sighed, keeping his eyes trained on the ground. He no longer felt anger or hatred, just a deep sense of dread for what he knew may happen.

Short post lol- Tired asf- Gonna crash ))

Shi lost her craze and cocked her head as he lost his defensive demeanor. Her eyes narrowed and her body tensed up. How ignorant of him to lower his guard, did he not know how dangerous she was? Was he admitting defeat, being unable to secure her survival rates.

She stalked up to Tiago, pulled her arm back and landed the hardest right hook of her life. It wouldn't do much damage to him, but it would pull him out of the trance.

"Lowering your defenses and giving up in front of an opponent who it emitting obvious signs of craze is no way to act. The girl you were with would not want you to act like that. She would want you to maintain your composure and win the fight if it were to come to that," Shi snarled glaring down at him. Her eyes were flickering dangerously as her body shook slightly.

"If you truly care about that girl Tiago, you'd uncover the old scriptures and figure out how to stabilize her or seek out the individual who could. But you know," she hissed.

"That would require you to trust and seek aid in someone who isn't a Human." Shi knew how much this man hated anything that wasn't a Human.

"Of course you must know that the High Elves could help her and the "Harbinger of Doom" that has the powers of the 13 Kami's could help her, right? Surely you know of Angels and Dragons right? They are also capable of amazing things. Things Humans could never imagine or achieve." Shi's voice was calm and she lost the crazed look and flash in her eyes. She looked away from Tiago and back within the depths of the forest.

"We'll be going now," Shi stated. She nodded to the five beings behind her and they began to walk back towards her cottage. They needed to pack up and then head out. They were wasting precious time.

Tiago's head bent back in an odd direction, but he didn't say anything. He just popped his neck and remained looking at the ground. Of course, he already knew that there were certain unnaturals that could have helped, but there was no way in hell he could ever go to one of them for help.

They wouldn't help me anyways. They know what I've done.

Just then, he felt Andrea's aura turn around. She hadn't been too far, which told him she'd forgotten the way home. She must've heard part of their conversation, because she seemed hesitant to approach.

"What have I told you about lurking?" He sighed, turning around to see her curly black hair poking out from behind a bush.

"Lurking is a pervert's sport. ." She replied dully, sounding deflated. She popped out from her hiding spot and walked up to him, ignoring the other woman there. "Is there. . something wrong. . with me?" She asked Tiago, and his heart nearly shattered into a million pieces at her tone of voice. She sounded utterly defeated, and even ashamed.

He got down to her level and put a hand on her shoulder, seeing the way her eyes glowed. "No, Andy. You're perfect, okay? Don't let anyone tell you otherwise." He told her, trying to sound confident.

"B-But she said I'm a 'defect', and that I-I didn't form right! She says I might implode!" Andrea insisted, referencing Shi.

". . Can we talk about this when we get home? . Please.?" He took the bag of groceries from her and stood back up, feeling helpless.

"No! I wanna know what's wrong with me!"

He'd begun to get a headache, and his aura was still cracking and revealing itself. At this rate, anyone within a mile would know what he was.

"Andy, we have to go home." He told her, standing back up and heading left like they normally would.

She was probably putting up a fight, but he just blocked her out and continued walking. He needed to get home behind the mask before his own mask shattered. Andrea, not wanting to be left alone, followed him, despite still being pissed.
