Traveler's Guide to Wolvden
Traveler's Guide to Wolvden is the clan for all traveling wolf enthusiasts! We will be referring to traveling wolves as nomads, but you can name them however you'd like! This clan's main goal is to provide a network of safe people to send nomads without fear that someone's wolf will be stolen, stripped, chased, or killed. The clan will have bi-weekly raffles, a hoard full of useful items to make nomads happy and decorated while in your care, and also a discord that you can find here: discord.gg

Anyone is free to join the clan when it is up and running! We're looking for responsible and active people to keep this game as safe and active as possible!

Nomad Info
What is a Nomad?
A nomad is a wolf that is sent between packs as a kind of chain letter. They can collect many things such as decor being the most popular, stories, information, roleplay, stats, and more. Each nomad is different, but they all follow the same basic premise, they go to as many packs as they can before returning home!
What do I do with one?

Hunt, play, feed, write a little snippet of what they did while in your pack, etc. People will put their own guidelines of what they want for the wolf, but just be sure not to go too crazy. You can also decorate and sometimes even add or change markings.
Where do I send a nomad?

We HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT send traveling wolves in Main Chat. We have found that thieves are prowling for traveling wolves in Main. Instead, send them through clan groups and/or of people you trust! Our clan is obvious, as we are all about traveling wolves, and you can offer to send off in the thread or in the discord. Just be sure to always send a message before sending any traveler to make sure that the member is open to receiving wolves at that time!

Clan Rules

1. Respect. Understand that everyone is entitled to their own way of playing this little game. Although everyone is in this clan, and there will be a few basic rules, everyone will probably want to have their own rules. So be sure to respect them and any rules they set for their individual wolf/pup.

Also do not mess with the name or bios of travelers except to add on to them. Do not erase or delete anything that you have not put yourself
2. Warning.  This is a general warning that there is a chance that you will not get anything back that you put on a wolf, even if you say you want it back. Some people may try and return decor or trade a decor in place of something (such as if you put an applicator on a wolf), but they may not be able to. So be sure that whatever you are putting on a wolf, you are okay with not being returned.
3. Clan Hoard. Contact an Admin to be given hoard access. You are free to take anything from the hoard, but you must donate something of equal or higher value. 2 items per day may be taken, be sure to also be donating 2 items if you are taking advantage of the hoard. Trades should be decor for decor, carcass for carcass, item for item, etc.

Feel free to donate whatever you like, I encourage donating food items (please no small or medium meat chunks), healing salves and medicines, amusement items, or less common decors. This will allow new members to be able to feed and care for the wolf they received. Please do not spam the hoard with common explore/dailies item drops that can't be crafted or sold. This prevents items from just sitting in the hoard

Donating SC/GC is encouraged, but not required! We will use any donated SC/GC for raffles and clan upkeep. If you want to donate any wolves, rare decor, or applicators for raffles, please send them directly to me so they don't get taken from the clan hoard. They will be saved and used for the raffles ONLY!
4. Messaging. ALWAYS message a member before just sending them a wolf. Especially if this is someone outside of the clan. Any members that are not messaging first will be booted from the clan

5. Do Not Block Admins. This will result in immediate removal from the clan.
— Realize more can and will be added as needed —

Creating a Nomad

First you will need to go to your profile and scroll down to your account settings

And hit Enable Traveling Wolves

Then you will go to the wolf you'd like to make a traveler, scroll all the way down below their biography and you'll find a new section for making the wolf a traveling wolf!

This part can be a little daunting at first, but you can follow these steps and use the bio template we have below to help figure things out!

Choosing a Wolf
Attributes
Choose a wolf that you won't mind having out and about. You can retrieve your traveler at anytime, but you want to choose a wolf that is not a vital part of your pack (such as one apart of your hunting team)

You'll want to keep in mind that people may not have the resources to care for a pup nomad, so you may want to stick to adolescents and adult wolves to send out.

Creating a Bio

The bio is where all information like your ID, the nomad's purpose, and the log of packs that the wolf has traveled to will be found. If nothing else, be sure to include your Name and ID# and at what point you would like the wolf returned to you. We have an optional bio template you can also use, edit, and change to your heart's content!

Some other things you may want to consider adding:

1. If you want to get your wolf back, at what age you would like it returned to you!

2.If you allow people to breed your wolf, a note if you'd like the pups or not

3. How long people can host your wolf

4. Include tips on how to prepare the next sender! Some people might be new to it, so just give them a basic lowdown of how they should send the wolf on to someone else

5. A long term goal. Maybe you wanna see how many bird decor your wolf can collect, or maybe you want people to send your wolf hunting and see how many stats they gain by the time they are returned!

6. Starting stats, markings, decor.

7. A spot for people to put the decor they added and their ID so if they want it back, it can be easily returned

8.A spot for people to add story snippets of what your wolf did while visiting their pack

9. A link to the clan! Bring everybody together and leave a link to the clan so others can join us!

Adding Decor

One of the main reasons most people do traveling wolves is to collect decor. It is NEVER mandatory to add decor, you can simply contribute to building their stats by scouting them, hunting them, or adding a story snippet of what they did while you were hosting them.

Decors can really be anything,

You don't have to add a super expensive decor, but try not to add decors that are super common ((unless of course it fits the overall theme of the wolf, then go for it!)) Decors from events are a great way to add something unique, especially those decors that you can get a lot of duplicates of

Optional Bio Template

Feel free to take out or add in anything you want!

Please return at ## year old to your name #ID

Check out this post for more information on the traveling wolf clan, Traveler's Guide to Wolvden!

Thank you for allowing [Traveler's Name] to stay with you! They wanted to see the world when they were old enough, and so [Lead Wolf] has allowed them to take to the lands.

Rules

1. Do NOT chase. You will be BLOCKED. If you do not want them to visit, please send them back to their original pack (#2382) or send them to someone else

2. Feel free to add any decor, markings, etc. and list them in the appropriate section with your ID and also note if you would like it returned back to you. If you do not say you want it returned when they come back at 1 Year Old, then it will not be. Anything that cannot be returned (IE it's on its last use, or it's a marking), won't be or if you would like an item sent back to you, please make a note of that too, though please keep requested items under 5GC in price

3. If you want a decor, please swap it for something of equal value or send the SC/GC amount to #2382 that is at least half of its worth. If it is a decor that is someone else's, please give them the same respect

4. Do not keep for more than 3 RO's, and make sure they are fed and happy before sending to the next person!

5. For the love of god, make sure the person you are sending them to is open for them! You will be blocked if you send them to someone that has chased them

6. If you breed her and do not want any of the pup(s), feel free to send them to #2382! If there is more than one pup in the litter, I would also love to have one if you are open to that

7. Do NOT remove my ID#/Name, the bio, or change their name. Make sure they stay easily identifiable and I can find them

8. If you are removing/changing any marks, please don't change the ones that have Keep bolded next to it

9. Feel free to add onto their personality along with a snippet of what they did while in your pack! Keep in mind the first two paragraphs, the basis, so you don't get too off base!

10. Please send them on at least 1 puppy training!

By adding decor and to their bio, and expecting any decor you note to come back to you, you understand there is a risk that it will not be returned.

Warning and Help
In this section we'll go over some general warnings and anything that you can do if you run into an issue with your nomad

Warnings
Returns
As mentioned many times already, there is always a chance your decor, backgrounds, etc. may not come back to you.
Editing

People can still edit the Name and Bio, we advise always having a backup of your bio in case someone accidentally or purposefully erases the entire bio or their name/footer. They can add decors but they can not delete them.

Getting a Nomad Back

So your wolf has ended up on a member's account that has not sent them on, has stripped their decor, changed their name, deleted their bio, etc.

You can go to your name in the top right of your screen, click the little arrow and then Traveling Wolves

And you'll be brought to a page with all of your travelers.

From there, you can click the name of your wolf and it will bring you to their page. Scroll down below their stats and you'll see a Recall button

Once recalled they will show up in your Unsorted wolves!
