I was thinking that you could put in your intro paragraph, and then the next entry from Eva is when she escapes. What if during the presentation, something could go wrong in one of the labs, and she breaches containment. She manages to get out of the facility and onto the streets, and then that could be how they meet? If you do that, though, could you make it so that she escapes a little later in the day? :^ )) |

The world had turn bad...seems like something awful happens every like 20 years for the world. But this time the government said, they could fix it.... They didnt. They fucked everything up. I come to find that out when I was 16 years old. I was told to take a few tests but...I failed to do so. They told me that I wasn't mentality stable... That I couldn't go out into the real world. So instead...they locked me in a cage... I was supposed to be their test subject. I was considered less than the normal human being so that meant they could use me as a lab rat. As the test continued..been my body began to change. I was now that these people called a 'hybrid.' Like some here that were tested on, we all developed animalistic features. They found it fascinating and continued to test on me...but after so long..enough is enough. |

I set my stuff down on my desk and then made my way to the lab, eager to get today's work done. We'd been working on a cheap rice substitute for a while, and I was the head of the project. We were so close, and I was getting anxious about the end results. "Morning, Kaia." Kaitlyn smiled, seeming as perky as ever. That name feels wrong. "Morning, Kait! Are you ready for the presentation today?" I asked, sitting down at my bench and pulling out a few viles. "As ready as I'll ever be. What do you think it's about?" She sat down next to me, handing me the vile I'd forgotten to pick up. "Thanks- I'm not really sure. I hear it's from the genetics modification team, so hopefully it'll be something exciting." I sighed, remembering all of the boring projects we'd done compared to their work. "Oooh- What if it's a new nanobot or something? I really hope they release an insomniac nano soon. I'm getting really tired of these sleepless nights." She rested her head on her hand, watching me while I worked. "You and me both, sister." I laughed, carefully pouring the two liquids together. Nearly three hours later, I was sitting next to Kait in the meeting room. There were more people in here than I'd thought there would be; Probably around three hundred. I normally would have been excited for these sorts of events, but something about this one felt. . off. Huh. It's probably just nerves. |

Today was the day I was gonna make my mark. I was going to escape, I had been planning this for a while and I wasn't going to wait any longer. As the day went on, I kept waiting for my chance to present itself. I sat in one of the cells they had me in. In my opinion, it was a cage. I passed back and forth, many thoughts racing through my head. I saw people walking all round but they didn't seem to care about me. They only wanted me for testing...that's all I was. A test subject...but today I was going to change that. All I need to do is wait |

It wasn't long before the presenter came up to the stage, and everyone was brought to attention. I stopped talking with Kaitlyn and glanced up at the ones speaking, trying my best to pay attention. Something's wrong. I shook my head to clear my thoughts. "Hello, everyone. I'm glad you could join us this evening!" The speaker didn't have any real emotion in their voice. It was almost robotic. "As you all know, the genetics team has been working very hard these past few months to produce its newest round of nanobots. Well, I'm happy to announce that they've been a success! We've come up with effective insomnia, depression, and anxiety bots to help improve overall quality of life." The speaker let our chattering die down before continuing. "Now, that's great news, but we wouldn't have called in half the building's executives for something as menial as nano updates. This is about something much bigger." That seemed to catch peoples' attention, but I still couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. "Food shortages still threaten our populations on the Asian fronts, so we've been working on a way to effectively reduce the amount of resources consumed. These new nanos are still under development, but we're ready to do a full demonstration of our prototype." A testing dummy was wheeled out next. They were designed years ago for public presentations, that way if something went wrong, no real humans would get hurt. They injected the arm of the dummy per standard procedure, and I was starting to think I had just been paranoid before. Just as we began to see the reductions on the big screen, the lights began flickering. Move. I grabbed Kait's arm and stepped back just before the system suddenly combusted and sent out a shockwave strong enough to knock most of us off our feet. The breaker flipped, and the power went out. |

I was sitting in the cell the moment the power to the whole building went out. I quickly came to a realization, the power was off. I ran for the door of the cell and pushed it open. I stood there shocked, I didn't waist anytime as I took off out of the cell. I ran for what I thought was an exit. I scrambled for some way to be free |

As everyone began panicking, I let go of Kait and ran out of the room. It was too loud in there, and I just wanted to go back to my lab to work. I ran down the hallway, trying to figure out what might have gone wrong. Was the dummy faulty? No way. Those things are bulletproof. It had to have been the nanobots. Why did they freak out like that, though? And how could that take out power for the whole building? Oh shit- I still have samples out! I panicked, rushing back to the lab. I got in there and quickly put them away so they wouldn't go bad, and then sat down on the counter to think. Something still felt wrong, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Maybe I just had too many cups of coffee. God, it's only one o'clock, and they're already gonna have to send us home. |

I rushed for some sort of way out. I ran for every exit possible. It felt as though I was in a maze...I couldn't get out no matter how kuch I tried. I kept running and running and I soon stumbled across one of the workers who did test on me. My ears pinned back slightly, and I could feel the panic and anger rising in me. I took off before they had a chance to catch me. The workers here news not to get to close to me, so I knew I was safe from that. First person is soo weird lol)) |

I stood up to go and collect my things, but I immediately froze. I saw someone with wolf like features running through the lab. I wasn't sure if they knew I was here yet, but I didn't plan on being discovered. Run. I tried to force myself to move, but I couldn't. Something about this felt so. . familiar. You've been here before. I closed my eyes for a moment, despite how idiotic that was. The same two words kept echoing in my mind, though, I have no idea where they came from. Akira. Remember. I shook my head and turned to run, but I ended up running straight into the stool next to me. It fell over with a crash, and my heart nearly stopped. Fuck- It takes some practice lol, but it makes it easier to know who we're talking about. We can switch back if you really want to, though. =w= )) |

I felt my heart dropped the moment I hard the crash. I whirled around to face the direction of the nose, my ears pricked forward. At the moment..I couldn't see much, the room was dark but I saw the outline of a figure. I crouched down a little, trying to keep myself from being scene |
