Starter Breeding Quest: Can't Set Breeding Male (answered)

Hi, all.

My friend just set up an account and is having trouble with the breeding starter quest. She's able to get to the point where she has the option to set her breeding male, but when she tries to select her male and set him for the quest, the game takes her to the wolf's profile page with an error that says "you are not at the required step yet". Tala's quest prompt then takes her back to the breeding male settings, but when she tries to select him again, it's the same result. The male is on hunting and pupsitting cooldown, but that doesn't seem like it should be an issue. She does have pupsitter assigned and ready. So we're not sure why she's stuck.

Has anyone else had this issue? Or is there a step we're overlooking?

There was a similar bug reported here and it seems like the problem was that you need to follow exactly the instruction and go to an exact sequence of pages (Den > Breeding > Breeding male settings)

Not sure if it's the same but maybe it could help.

We tried clearing her cache then following the sequence exactly, but the same error occurred. So that doesn't seem to be it.

When she is in the den page, what's Tala message?

I have the quest steps unlocked in Tala's archive so maybe I can see what's wrong...

Go to your den page and click the "Breeding" image to go to your breeding male settings.

So if you click "Breeding" on your den page and then "Breeding male setting", what's her message (if you can add a screenshot, even better)

second of all. if you don't click "Next" on Tala's pane, guess what? you'll get error messages. :)
