Do you still have to pay the bypass fee, and are you just stuck if you don't have the GC? Some specifics in case that's not clear: say your wolf takes over at 7 years old. They'd die in 24 rollovers, before the 30 RO cooldown is up. I'm fairly certain you wouldn't have to pay for early retirement since that's not what's happening there, but do you still have to pay to bypass the cooldown? I believe that the cooldown is cancelled out by your lead's death. Of course, if you decided to retire him/her before they die naturally, you would have to pay. If I'm wrong, someone will correct me.
