Regarding Older Wolves

Regarding Older Wolves

Hello! I currently have several older wolves in my den serving roles (my Herbalist + a main member of my Hunting Party are both 5 years old) and I was wondering whether it was more beneficial to instead give those roles to younger wolves so they have more time to learn/gain proficiency? It was initially due to their stats that I placed them in, but now I'm not so sure as to whether it's worth it?

Thanks in advance! x

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer to this, just preference!

I personally assigned roles to all NBWs with decent stats right off the bat, but I've been replacing them with more 'permanent' pack members when I have been able. I think you would just need to be careful for timing. For example, I change my herbalist and now I need to build up her proficiency again, so I made sure to stock up on some healing items I felt like I would need in the meantime. Also, changing an herbalist means you will need to pay SC to diagnose illnesses again until the new one is more proficient, so maybe stock up on a bit of that, too.

My hunters are a bit tougher because even if I replace one they need to build up their synergy from 0 again, so I'm going to replace the entire party at once and keep the old party around to hunt when the new party is tired for a while until they get their synergy up.

Not sure if this helps, but I figured I'd add my two cents! :3

I gave all my roles to NBWs initially, so I could build up my pack, with the intention of replacing them with my prettier/more permanent pups as they aged up. That being said, I don't think it makes a huge difference -- one of my older ladies, for example, will probably be staying in her scout role since I've already built up so many stats on  her.
