Hiro quickly turned to see Avery smiling. His face was bruised, and he was bound to be in pain, and yet he was still smiling.
Just the sight of him brought tears to Hiro's eyes, though he tried his best to hold them back.
The nurse saw that he was awake and left the room. The clipboard had been filled out, and her job here was done.
Hiro placed his other hand around Avery's, and tried to keep his voice steady.
"H-Hey! How're you feeling? Stu-Stupid question, I know, but is there anything I can do.?" He muttered, unable to help the stutter in his voice.

That was it. He couldn't stop himself from crying anymore. It all came flooding out, and he couldn't speak. Avery had been hurt because of his stupid mistakes. He was in the hospital, because of him. His hands started shaking, and he leaned his head down. He didn't want Avery to see him cry. There has been too much of that lately.
He just kept muttering the words 'I'm sorry' over and over again. His whole body had started shaking, and he couldn't control his breathing anymore.
After a few minutes, he was able to regain his composure, and he looked up to see a concerned look on Avery's face.

He lifted his head slightly as Avery tugged on his hand a bit. He reluctantly moved forward a bit, still not looking up to face Avery.
