Yes, another thread partially about how we need more hunters and new roles. But this is more than that.
Problem: I have 1 herbalist, 2 scouts, time to send 1 or maybe 2 hunting parties out the full 10 times a day. I need like 20 pupsitters at any given time so let's be generous and call that 35 wolves, plus 5 mentors doing only 1 lesson a day each, maybe 2. That's 40 useful wolves. I have 100 territory, so that's 60 freeloaders. That sucks.
And, it's almost pointless to train adds for anything other then hunter or sitter unless one of your scouts or your herbalist is actively about to die since you can only have 2/1 at a time.
My lead also brings in FAR more food, amusement, & herbs each day than my hunters, scouts, and herbalist. My wolves are CONSTANTLY on the brink of leaving because my pack can't provide for itself. Sometimes I can afford to spend SC on food and amusement from others, often I can't.

So my solution is thus; Scaling herbalists, scouts, and hunting parties hunting at a time by territory. What follows is an example of how I would set up the scaling.
1-24 territory: 1 Herbalist, 2 Scouts, 1 Hunting party at a time
25-49: 1H 3S 2HP
50-74: 2H 4S 3HP
75-99: 3H 5S 4HP
100-124: 5H 6S 5HP
125-149: 6H 7S 6HP
150-174: 7H 8S 7HP
175-199: 8H 9S 8HP
200: 10H 10S 10HP
As you can see, these changes are dramatic, but I firmly believe they are necessary and are balanced. This would bring my number of freeloading wolves down to 39 or 40. Much better than 60.
I would also be open to main and secondary members of roles, for instance maybe the main herbalist is the only one that can create medicine but the others could be sent to go forage - possibly in a party? Likewise, perhaps there are scouts and scouting parties. The scouting parties only bring in a little bit more than the main scouts, because they aren't focusing on the same things, but they still bring in amusement and can scout territories.
Additionally, maybe adols can get the pup training too, but they just don't get any bonuses for completing a category after puphood ends - this would make mentors more useful. So 1 pup training and 1 adol training a day for each adol?

Of course, all of this does change with the potential for new roles. However, I still believe that at the very least we need to be allowed more hunting parties to hunt at a time.
