This made the Empath pause. "I guess nothing really. A friend, maybe. I dunno," She answered slowly, carefully picking and choosing her words. She had to admit, it was pretty hard to read this demon. Then again, most demons were hard to read, unlike humans or angels. That's why she found it interesting talking to demons: to see their reaction. |

The cat's ears flicked. "A friend, maybe." He almost wanted to switch back to laugh. Who in their right mind goes around, I need a friend, thats why I snuck up on you. Practically gulping down the last of his food the demon glanced at the shadows, barely able to pick out the other two from where he was in the light. Moving along a small path, Dante climbed the side of the building behind him, following the ledges before he managed to see the other two. He was right! His tail flicked once before he settled down. Gasper and some other person, maybe the half demon. Huh. He thought he saw Gasper talking to some human earlier, was it possibly the other half creature around here somewhere? |

Gasper looked at the shadows with narrowed eyes. "Are you testing me or something? Come out here and let me see you clearly. You, at the very least, need a better reference for how you introduce yourself." He leaned up against a wall and sighed, looking up. It was hard to tell, but he thought he could see more eyes on him again. Animal eyes. "You sound young, kid. You're probably better off adopting one of these street kitties than getting into what I do." He had see that long haired black cat before. That, or one of its many siblings that haunted these alleys. |

The Empath smiled. "A test. That would be so straightforward, wouldn't it?" She sighed. "Yet so is showing you who I am. And if you think I'm some idiot child, I'd advise you to think again." She picked at her fingernails, making a rather annoying tick tick sound. |

Gasper had clicked, he knew Dante was here. 'Street kitties' being adopted. That'd be fun to see. None were more than cats but they were truly some of the nastiest cats Dante had ever met. Let alone his closer friends. Dante dropped his head, letting his eyes swivel to his paws, carefully picking out any visible dirt. He still listened, almost laughing at the other's cockiness. A half demon was no match for a full demon, whether it was in a fight or keeping out of tricky word webs. Well, he supposed that someone may be able to trap a particularly dull demon but surely Gasper would be fine. Considering the group he ran with, the demon would likely be. The fur along his back prickled and he almost shook his head, trying to shake away the jealousy. Why did he not have such a decent group? The alley cats were fine enough but they hardly dared to accompany him as friends. |

"Fine, don't come out then." His tone was even, uncaring. "I have time until nightfall. You just better scram before then. If I get any humans to join me again, my cover is drug dealer and party animal, not some creep that has a teenage girl hanging around." The demon waved his hand dismissively. "I may be a demon, but I also have standards." She certainly sounded younger. Like other supernatural beings, demons could get stuck or prefer a certain age to stay at. It was possible that she could have had that young voice for a long, long time. He also knew that age was important to appearances. Stuck at a literal high point in his life, Gasper was happy to continue his mid twenties into his demon life after changing decades ago. It was also an age where you don't get asked as many questions. |

Dante was getting tired of this. Some kid trying to be intimidating and they were most certainly not any kind of full fledged demon, their scent alone was proof enough. But maybe another demon would be wiser on challenging another demon on their own turf. Maybe that was just animals. Humans should pick it up, non humans seemed to already be aware of it. Clearly the human side on this one had won out. The demon stood up, shaking out his fur and picking his way down. He paused briefly, letting out a rather plaintive meow before dropping the last of the way to the ground. Already there was another cat peering at him from the darkness, they must've been searching the markets and getting ready to head home. Trotting past Gasper and past the half human his ears flattened and he gave a hiss at the human. Didn't need it following him around, lest of all actually taking Gasper's advice to find an alley cat to take home. |

[Gasper | Demon] Gasper paused his retort to acknowledge the fluffy black cat that was making its way through the alley. He watched it hiss at something unseen as it passed. What a little stinker! Now, was this normal cat behavior, or something else? It seemed pointed. Not pausing to fight for territory, just an insult as a drive-by. He turned his attention back to the place where the girl's voice was, "Listen, I can't make you go anywhere, even if you just want a friend. Point is, I only serve myself. To serve myself, I need humans. Adult humans have rules for who they trust. No offense. I'm a demon. This is how it works." He turned his body away, stuck up a peace sign, and quickly faded into invisibility. "Gasper: out." He walked casually away, his form indistinguishable from the open air. Though he was not hurried, he did find himself following the particular cat that had been lingering with him in the darkness. |

She actually laughed. "You can run but you can't hide," She said, enjoying herself. She sighed. No one ever liked to hang out with her. Then again, she'd never made an effort. You'd think she'd have made one but no, she didn't like interaction unless she was the one to start it. |
