Explore Fighting Exp Gains [Data Collection Phase]

Explore Fighting Exp Gains [Data Collection Phase]

I would love to write a guide on this, but I need a far larger data set than I alone can source without you all.

Please feel free to fill out this [ Google Form ] after as many of your fights as you can stand.

I'll make this fancy when it's actually a guide. Here is a link to raw responses [ Spreadsheet ].

For your userlog, it's a bit harder unfortunately so I understand if you don't want to dig. I needed two tabs to even start looking with one search 'Won a battle' to filter & my leads name with leveled up as the other. And comparing dates. I am perfectly happy for those of you with already leveled leads to just start where you are. :)

For those of you waiting to fill this out or haven't because it is too much work, It is easy to work as you only need to fill in your experience gain (what we are collecting here). The others are simple drop downs with the options. You do not have to answer the last which refers to if you got the +1 stat at the end of the fight.

I haven't seen any thing contesting that enemies break the 1-20 leveling system. If you find something please screenshot it and post!

The new forms are sourced from the lovely [Grouse House Guide] Battling and the enemy list spreadsheet linked therein. They have done a wonderful series of guides on just about everything Wolvden and without them I likely wouldn't have bothered trying to do this at all.

///// Updates /////

Nov. 26th 2020 : I've been dealing with a persistent chest cold/family things & that is not helping me do math. I haven't forgotten this project and still see that others are logging fights! But I do not have the clarity of mind to not screw up right now. I'll hopefully be back to it soon, if not it could be January when school starts back and I have less rl to do.

Just under 1000 Successful Fights Logged!

We still have some enemies with no or few fights, mostly those in the harder biomes. So I'll be leaving the form open to continue taking submissions.

I am working on transferring all the current enemies to their own separate spreadsheets. This is unfortunately slow going, but it is going. This way it can be looked into easily what we have and what we don't. I will be clearing the raw dump sheet once I am done, but as always the new sheets will be linked and kept updated with new submissions.

I will be starting a win/loss/retreat data gathering later. Some enemies' data is really lacking. That means unfortunately this guide will only tell you what experience gains to expect from enemies, not if they are easy to win. I do intend to change this in the future.

(reminder to me: Next entry - page 4, lvl 13

Won a battle against a level 11 Pronghorn Herd and got +321 EXP! Total energy used: 11. New HP after fight: 26.2020-10-19 19:29:45)

Started adding my info as well!

I would be super interested in seeing if certain stats correlate to npcs as well :D maybe bears give you more strength and deer more agility...

@Sienna Snow

I didn't want to make that part mandatory since it's not technically what I am looking to spade, but I'd love to see what the 'extra' stat gains are myself. It'll be a neat little side addition if it's not, seemingly, completely random.

Although I have a little bit already, maybe I should pay more attention to battles now!

I just started and reached level 5. No actual data yet, but enemy and wolf level have been the only correlation regarding exp that I have noticed so far...

The following is not actual data, just vague observation!

Enemy lvl / Exp range (wolf level unknown, but up to level 5)

1 / 53-60

2 / 62-66

3 / 79-85

4 / see below

5 / 86-90

6 / 109-116

There were three out of this range...

1. Won a battle against a level 3 Bobcat and got +58 EXP!

2. Won a battle against a level 6 Timber Wolf and got +65 EXP!

(first two battles, presumably level 1 wolf)

3. Won a battle against a level 4 Whitetail Buck and got +99 EXP!

(most recent highest level enemy, presumably either level 4 or 5 wolf)

Also trying to figure out enemy hp. I'll try to actually contribute and good luck!
