Hello! :D I know this is kinda a random place to ask but

So... I'm trans/agender (FtNB) and I REALLY dont want breasts.....

I made $50 selling some video games and I was shopping for (my first! :D) binder but idk any trustful binders so.. im here! xD I know theres alot of LGBTQA+ members here and I dont know really any other sites I can ask on but yea...

Im currently looking on amazon but I would prefer a cheap (say $30 or less?) binder that is safe and works well,,, I wanted to ask for suggestions from other people for where to get mine from..?^^' I would mainly be wearing this at school (cus then my fam wont see it..) and stuff... Im doing some research before buying but yee I need help xD

I was also wondering (I know this sounds dumb but im very un-experienced with binders ;_; ) if I should/could wear them to PE also..? (My teacher in that class is homophobic tho but he did almost lose his job for making homophobic comments towards me and other students plus harassing me constantly and miss gendering/dead naming me on purpose--)

Again, random questions but... please help me ;_;

Thank youuuu!<3

Well i don't know any good binders to use, but i know you shouldn't wear it during PE or to bed, its bad for you. And be careful, there is a limit to how long you can wear it per day. you should only wear it for a few hours the first time, and dont go over 12 hours wearing it. Its recommended you only wear it for 8 hours. But a friend told me you should start out at 2, then when it gets more comfortable go to 4, then 6, then 8. They said its the safest way to get used to it.

GC2B is a good company, both of my binders are from there.
There is also Spectrum Outfitters and Underworks. Spectrum Outfitters is based in the UK though

If you wanted to wear one for PE, you'd have to go a size or two up. It isn't recommended to work out with a binder though

Don't sleep in your binder, don't wear it for more than 9 hours straight, STRETCH YOUR BODY BEFORE AND AFTER wearing your binder, most binders are not machine washable so you will have to handwash and dry it outside or with something that is a low heat.

Good luck!!!

Bought mine from GC2B and I'm 100% satisfied with it! (Make sure to not take one which is too small, I'm generally an S (small) when it comes to clothes but for my binders I took a medium one and it fits me perfectly)
They are also pretty solid and easy to wash by hand

I would never recommend working out in a binder but if you really need to then taking a second one in a larger size could maybe work (but not for long work-outs). One of my friends does that for swimming and apparently it works fine for him. I think I may try that this summer.

Hope this help! <3

PS: If you buy from GC2B I would advise that you take a "Half", not a "Racerback", apparently the half are a lot more comfortable. I only tried the "half" so I can't confirm but that's what I've heard. (Also the halfs are cheaper)

Hey, binders can be really dangerous if you don't know how to wear them properly, I'd really recommend doing a lot more research before buying anything. Even safe ones can break ribs if you don't know how to use them appropriately.

If you're going to exercise, never wear a binder. No matter what, it is not safe. The common recommendation for binding while working out is wearing a side smaller sports bra rather than any type of binder.

I just happened to see this and thought I would offer my advice if OP hasn't ordered a binder, or for others looking to get one. GC2B is a good company. I know people who've gotten good binders from them, and I have a gc2b binder that I've worn for around a year and still works and fits fantastically.

Important things I have learned since I began binding:
  • Make sure you get a binder that is sized for your chest. When taking measurement to order a binder, companies recommend measuring without wearing a shirt/jacket/bra to get the most accurate measurement.
Do not sleep in a binder
Do not exercise in a binder - it restricts breathing and movement
Do not bind during "that time" (breasts tend to get larger during then, so the binder becomes the wrong size and uncomfortable)
Do not wear other's binders/let other people wear your binder. Everyone is different and binders are designed for a specific person's body
Work your way up to binding for multiple hours (don't be stupid like me and wear it for 7 hours the first day you get it). It is recommended that you wear it for an hour or two, and increase the time spent binding.
Do not bind for more than 6-8 hours (breast tissue damage can occur after then, which affects your eligibility for top surg if you ever want/can get it)
If it starts to hurt while binding TAKE IT OFF even if it's just for a few minutes - your body hurts when something is wrong, so fighting through the pain is a bad idea.
Do not bind more than 3-4 days a week (give your chest a break once in a while) - if you need to have a flat chest more often than that, wear a sports bra on the off-days, or alternate sports bra one day and binder the next day.
Do not bind in the shower/bath
Do not bind in hot weather - it traps heat and can cause you to overheat
Do not layer binders/wear a bra with a binder
Clean your binder regularly (if you do not recieve information of how to clean your binder when you recieve it, you can find directions online on how to clean a binder)
