Things we love about Wolvden!

Things we love about Wolvden!

Reply with at least 3 things you love about Wolvden! It's okay if a bunch of people have said the same things, it just means that a lot of people love those things! I'll edit this with the newest batch of things I love every so often. I practically guarantee you that if you check out Lioden and play for 3-4 months, you'll see why these things are so important.

Here are my three things for 10/22/20:

1. How easy it is to get your hands on SC without using something like Monkey business in Lioden. It's possible to get a ton in explore or from snake quests.

2. How stress-free this game is. Seriously. I don't waste my time stressing, and use it to do something useful with my time.

3. The game isn't over-centralized on GC. I can happily get only 2-3 GC every few weeks and never have to worry about it (unless I'm trying to buy a whole lot of unnecessary stuff).

My three things for 11/2/20

1. How interactive this game is. Lioden gets kinda heavy and overbearing after a while. This will always have things you have to do that have nothing to do with improving your pack.

2. How completely and utterly new this game is. Seriously, we are the pioneers of this game. We are the players that one day, other, much newer players will look at with reverence and amazement and some envy.

3. This is a continuation of #2. We also get to see the start of this game and look on in amazement as this game develops and changes and evolves.

1. How GORGEOUS the art is!! Like, honestly artists! You've outdone yourselves <3 <3 <3

2. How your profile and your pack profile are different things! It's a really nice mechanic that I really enjoy!

3. How you can set a 'featured wolf' but also how you can change the titles of your main and featured wolves! Adds to the roleplayability

4. How the game's more realistic, with pup's chances of dying more likely, how you can have secondary muts, and how pups feed from their mother's hunger until they're weaned! So cool

1: Dawn and Dusk, and weather, effecting the exploration zones. Makes exploring that much more fun.

2: The game telling you when a scout or hunting-pack are full on energy and ready to go. The reminder is definitely useful.

3: The atmosphere. It's young right now, but I love the feel of this game so much more then Lioden. Maybe it's the wolves, maybe it's the lovely art, maybe it's the mere uncluttered nature of a new site, but it's fantastic.

  1.  I love the art. I know this has been said already but I think the art cannot be complimented enough. The designs, the details, how well everything goes together!! I can't get enough.
  2. I love that there is the option to choose the title your lead and featured wolf go by. It feels inclusive and it lets people add another personal touch to their packs.
  3. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Everyone is just generally having a good time and I really really dig that.
  4. Lastly, I really like how everything, literally, everything is so easy to find and use and understand.

I love all the art! The biomes are so pretty, and getting visible weather is really cool, and I love the little touches like how the hunting image gets little wolves in it once you pick a trail. (It also has weather and sunsets!)

The explore encounter descriptions are great! Funny, pretty-sounding, just nice. I like reading them. <3

I like the stud system! Getting to look at everyone's cool wolves and figure out which one would make the babies I like best is fun.

I've had a pretty easy time playing! Granted it's because I've been playing super intensively, but I've had a pretty easy time expanding territory and buying pretty wolves and earning currency.

On the other hand I do enjoy the difficult parts! Like my wolves constantly failing at hunting and only slowly getting better. It's realistic in a cool way and makes it fun to think about this real wolf pack and all its difficulties.

1. I think what I love the most is the fact that when you're sending your wolves to hunt and you forget to pick the scent trail, you get a notification. This literally saved me so many times. ;>

2. You can come back to a forum thread exactly where you left off.

3. And I like the difficulty. Lioden seems so easy now.

1. The BIOMES! Oh my gracious, the art is beautiful. I can't decide which (of the ones I've discovered so far) I want to move my pack to, because they're all so pretty.

2. The fact that things are more interactive now than they were on Lioden.
 - Like Pupsitters giving less protection the more pups they have to watch. Hunts, we can pick scent trails based on prey size. Battles take energy to attack. Biomes need to be scouted before exploring. Needing to diagnose illnesses and research/make medicines. All of this is a breath of fresh air compared to Lioden, which gets stale to me after a while because it feels a bit too... easy and grind-heavy.

3. Being able to have a lead wolf and secondary wolf on your page, with changeable titles to reflect their status in the pack. It really adds to the roleplay/personal pack lore aesthetic.

1. The art! Especially the landscapes. The deciduous forest, mountains,  and riparian woodland biome art are my weakness. <3 It’s just so gorgeous and gives the game such a nice atmosphere. It feels like you’re really there.

2. How realistic it is. It really shows how difficult being a wild animal can be. As much as I wish they would, my hunting party doesn’t bring back food every time. The same is true in the real world. Not all hunts can be successful.

3. Kind of random, but the rollover puppy picture is adorable. It always makes me smile. :)
