Not a bother at all! And for anyone else who sees this, this thread is NOT just for newbies. Anyone can ask questions.

Pricing: Do you mean wolves or items? I can PM you a mini-guide to pricing wolves, it's pretty long. Let me know if you'd like it. For items, go to Crossroads > Trading Center > Search Trades > Items and type your item name. Put 100 in the SC Buyout section. If there are none for sale at 100, go higher. If there are some for lower, drop the price to the lowest you see on the first page. Continue lowering until there are no cheaper prices. That's your base price; you can lower it for a quick sale or raise it to get the best value if you don't mind waiting a while for it to sell.

Getting SC:

- Do your snake quests everyday. These can be found in Crossroads > Questing and give a little over 100 sc for each quest.

- Sell healing salves & lucky feet on the TC if you don't battle often. Check prices before you list

- Sell 1-use food items to the raccoon, but save larger carcasses. 1-use food items go for 3 SC, but larger carcasses usually go for less than 1 SC per use. Keep amusement items, you'll need them when you have more wolves and they're more difficult to get than food in my experience.

- Sell herbs. Some are harder to get than others. Only sell herbs to the TC, never ever sell to the raccoon. The raccoon doesn't pay much for them (1 SC iirc)

- Explore. Some encounters give SC, others give small carcasses and 1-use food items you can sell to the racoon

Oh!, i have another question: My hunting party is absolute garbage, is it because they are low level, the game is just rigged diferent to lioden (and the frankly rdiculous amount of food i get from hunting there) or some other reason?

I sent the guide. As for hunting, your wolves' stats and party synergy affect their hunts. High stat wolves with high party synergy will have better luck than low stat wolves with low party synergy. Wolves with clashing personalities [check their personalities Here] will fail more hunts because they will fight. Check out This hunting guide and let me know if I need to elaborate on anything.

Edit: You can get food pretty easily in explore. Following the scent West instead of North can get you large meat chunks which are 6 uses. I usually store those and use them until they rot because I always have way too many. Higher level biomes are basically food generators from what I've seen. I explore in the Tundra a lot and constantly have more muskox calf carcasses (8 uses), seal pup carcasses (10 uses), and walrus pup carcasses (16 uses) than I can use.

Hey! First just wanted to say thank you for taking a moment to explain things to us new players! :D

I'd love to know how I can set an icon for my account. I'm not sure if it's tricky to locate, oor if I've just seriously over looked it.

Hello! I'm semi-newish; I'm part of the wave of players that joined when the game first opened to the public. I've been reading up on all the guides so I'm starting to get the hang of the mechanics but I still have questions about player related things.

I want to get into studding but I'm trying to decide if it's better to save up as much gold cones as possible right now or to purchase or customize an attractive male instead. I figure that it could be wise to save up gold cone now because they're cheaper and will make the game easier in the long run-especially if the markets for studding changes drastically over the next few months. But it could also be advantageous to purchase or customize a nice male now and use him to earn currency for me. I played Lioden for a few months but I never got into studding so I'm pretty clueless about this stuff. Thank you for your help in advance! :)
