New Applicator: Marking Color Changer!

New Applicator: Marking Color Changer!
Posted 2022-02-12 14:59:13 (edited)
Hello everyone! I don't think I've seen this posted in here yet, but I would like to propose having an applicator that just changes marking colors.

We already have applicators for changing opacity and removing marks, so why not have one for changing the color?  It should probably be the same price as the Opacity Changer at 1GC.

This would be incredibly useful! You can fix those RMA marks that are beautiful, but just in the wrong color. Have a potato pup with lots of marks but mismatching colors? Pretty them up! Find a NBW with potential but odd color marks? Fixed!

Let me know what you think!

I think that it would be cool! I would love to change some markings to the color blue

If it was going to be that cheap I would say that the marks shouldn't be able to be changed into combo colors like auburn. If we did want to include those colors then it should be spendier.
All in all, a good idea! I support!

No support. Even if combo colors were excluded, this would make rare colored markings too easy to get. For instance, wings heavy is a marking type that has been out for a while (there's 28 pages of wolves with black wings heavy), but honey wings heavy has just been introduced (it's this week's new raffle mark). If people could change their black wings heavy to honey wings heavy with a cheap grove applicator, the new raffle stud would be pretty much worthless.

I hadn't considered color being a Rarity for markings other than the combo colors, so you make a good point.  I wonder if there would be a way to lock certain mark colors? But that might be too much work on the dev's part

I know I'm personally just frustrated when I finally get the mark I want, but the color clashes with my wolves. I don't think about the Rarity or the market as much

It would work if they locked it to markings that are in regular marking apps. Like if you got a pup with red smudge heavy and wanted to change it to black smudge heavy, you could spend 6 gc to remove the old marking and apply the new one, but it would be nice (and not imbalanced) to be able to change the color directly for cheaper.

I think that would be just fine, yeah!! Most of the marks I want to change come from the basic NBWs or the RMA anyway.  And it can be such a grind to get GC if you don't know the best ways to get it, so the cheaper the better
