Dying age?

At what age can wolves die from old age? Like is it after 6 years or something? What's the oldest they can possibly live?

At 7y 6m (They can also die at this age!) is when they start having a chance to die, but the oldest they can live to is 8y (Default for pack leaders)

Can you retire your Pack Leader for free at that point? 7 years and 6 months to 8 years?
Then what happens next? Can you keep on usingĀ  your current wolf. Or can you choose one of your pack males or females to be the next lead wolf?

You can't retire the pack leader for free like you can do with the other pack members after they reach 7y 6m. They have to die of old age at 8yo, or you have to pay GC to retire them early.

After your lead die, you can decide to create a new lead using the same customizer you used when you started the game, or you can choose any wolf in your pack to be the new leader. If you choose a pup, they will be aged up to 1yo. If you choose another adult wolf, they will keep their age and levels, but lose their role and proficiency.

OK, thanks for that explanation. I'm glad there's a choice.
