Studding out pack males?

Studding out pack males?

Are we only allowed to have one breedable male in our packs (barring removing the one we have set as breeding male with GC or natural death)? So many cute pups are being born and I would love to breed my females with other males thst aren't set as a person's breeding male. Is it true studding cannot happen unless its the one male? That would make me so sad on the wasted potential of some neat gene combos.

Yes, there is only one breedable male in each pack.

You can breed with other users' breeding male if they are up for pubblic stud. There's plenty of them so you will surely find something that will be good for your females!

It seems so pointless to disallow pack males to be studdable. Like, what's the point in having cool genes on them if you can't breed those into the world? I don't want to move my lead breeding male just to breed one other male out. I feel this needs to be changed. Otherwise pack males are useless for genetics, which is... like... 60% of the fun of a game like this. Talk a bout a kick in the gut...

It's pretty much the same as the sub males in Lioden.  You can get a genetically nice male, scout/hunt him out to raise his stats and level, then make him your breeding male after retiring your current stud.  If you don't plan to replace your stud with him his genetics won't matter but his stats/level will help scout faster as they rise if I'm not mistaken.
