My second question has to do with pair bonds. I am trying to understand the instructions but I just don't get it. If I make a pair bond I know the male wolf can only breed to his mate...can the female breed with an outside stud? Can any of my pack males breed to my females or do all of my males need to be in a pair bond to breed? I'm trying to figure out if I should make many pair bonds or just make my pack entirely female! Third question..I have a male wolf that I just put a Clover base on and a Moss marking. He also has very high stats! He's the one I would use as a public stud. If I can't remove the Pack Leader as the pack stud then I can't use him as a breeder stud for my pack females can I? If that's the case I need to do a sex change on him to hopefully pass on the clover base and moss markings by breeding to outside studs right? I love this game so much I started really getting into it real fast. I am out of work on disability, I have no life and l just live with my dog so this gives me a new hobby. I studied different pairs in the Genetic Calculator and started writing lists of best breeding pairs to try and get the base coats that I want to breed, I wrote a list of best pair bonds, etc. But I really screwed everything up when I made my Pack Leader the pack stud. So I think the only thing I can do is just keep breeding with studs outside of the pack right? Can I get your advice about these things please? Another question...I started out using the NBWs as hunters, puppy sitters, explorers, etc. If I replace all of them with the new wolves I have bred or bought I won't have to completely start anything over will I? I have explored and opened every biome and I am exploring the last one Glacier now. I won't have to start a them all over again will I? This game is awesome! I love the colors of the wolves, the artwork, the different biomes to explore in, etc and the different events are great!! I am a very visual person so I love looking at all of these things! I play the game Howrse as well. I don't know if you've heard of it but it is a horse game that you can breed and show horses, change their coats to all of these colorful and magical things that other players design, sell foals that you've bred, etc. I am very competitive on that game and I would say I love Wolvden just as much!! I'd really like to figure everything out so that I can make my game what I'd like it to be. I really love the chat feature too and everyone is so nice!! It's just difficult to ask questions in 150 characters or less. I'm glad I found this page!! I know this is a lot...sorry! Take all the time you need to answer. Thank you! |

2) Yes, a female in a pairbond can breed with any stud; either the pack stud or a stud from another pack. With the exception of the breeding male a male wolf can ONLY breed with the female wolf he's paired with. There's pros and cons to using pairbonds - having an all female pack and only using outside studs can bring in more exciting puppies, but they also do cost money, where pairbonding is free. If you pick your pairbonding carefully you can get excellent puppies from there too. 3) Yes, your moss wolf cannot be the pack stud unless you pay GC to retire your current stud. You can put him in a pairbond with a female you think he'll make good puppies with, or you can sex change him and use outside studs. 4) Yes, you can chase off (or sell super cheap) the NBWs you've been using and replace them. Your hunting may take a hit for a bit while they get proficiency up, but nothing will reset. Your map will reset to needing to explore the biomes again when you replace your lead, replacing your scouts and such will not effect it. Also, it isn't too hard to save up GC if you really want to replace your breeding male. Lucky Feet and Healing Salves will often go for GC on the trading center. That's how I saved up enough to buy puppy stages! I've heard of Howrse, but my favorite thing about Wolvden is the rollover system - I need that safety net for when I occasionally just stop playing for two weeks. I really like games like this, but it's disheartening to get busy for a while and come back to a disaster because they've kept getting hungry/sick/etc. while I've been gone. I love that Wolvden keeps me from having to worry about that. I hope that's helpful! Let me know if there's anything else! |
