"We can't help much. All Chlau can do is give her herbs. Unless we're unable to, all mothers get nests and the access to herbs but we don't help unless it's serious." Saffir replied to Yeti's glances. Chlau had already given Austria some herbs, to help with pain.
Austria ate the herbs and began the process. Yeti nodded to them and just sat and watched, slightly upset that he couldn't help. After a long while, the first pup came, she took a break and she groomed the pup, the baby squirmed as she gently picked it up by its scruff and nestled it by her belly, she soon felt another spasm and soon, after a while, gave birth to her litter. She groomed her puppies as they suckled, she whimpered happily. "H-Hello.. l-little... o-ones!..." She nuzzled each one and whimpered happily.
Most of the sitters headed off, leaving only Saffir and Nosau. The older, Nosau, began to make some extra nests, moving towards her nest at the back. Saffir waited close by, incase Austria needed something.
The camp returned to normal, not that most had come over. A few hunters came back before racing out again and various wolves came in and out, fetching materials for nests and herbs to help Chlau.
Yeti stayed by Austria, she finished grooming her puppies and gently got to her paws. Yeti watched her leave to get something to eat, and he kept watch over the puppies, sniffing them to get to know their scent. Austria went to the prey pile and got a plump rabbit, she laid by her babies and ate as they drank from her.
Fy came back soon after, alone. She was clearly happy though and she started talking to the hunters that were left. Nosau went to see and discovered they'd be moving back soon. Two days, Fy had said, enough time to Austria and Nosau's pups to be able to walk.
Two days passed fairly quickly and the morning of the third came around. A group had left already and most of the pack was awake, getting ready to move off. Most of the weaned pups had been sent off to other packs, leaving only three as well as a few unweaned young ones. And, of course, Austria's pups.
