Oh gosh, that failed. Well, time for plan B! The she-wolf cut away from the scent, tracing the path from the bushes before putting on a small burst and stepping onto the path. She flattened her fur, tail wagging but keeping it low and pulled her body in to appear more submissive. The adolescent wasn't far at all, she should be in sight. "Hi!" She whined, keeping a friendly tone and body language.
Austria stopped and whimpered, she tucked her tail in between her legs and she backed away, trembling violently. She watched the she-wolf through terrified eyes, watching her get closer. She wanted to cry out but was too afraid of other wolves finding her. She pushed against the dirt overhang, despite being cornered.
Coeden whined softly, keeping a friendly tone, attempting the tone that she'd seen the mothers use for their pups. "It's alright sweetheart, I'm not gonna hurt you." She stopped moving, noting the backwards movement. Stepping back a few steps, keeping her tail swishing slightly and low she tilted her head a little, taking in how loose the young one's coat looked on her. "You've done really well, keeping away from our pack. We didn't even know you were here until one of our hunters caught your scent." she smiled softly, ears portraying a picture of friendliness. "Our alpha, Fy Anwylyd, just wants to know if you're okay. We haven't seen another pack very close for a while, our borders were undisturbed until you came along. And really, it's not right that you're all alone out here."
The weak adolescent crouched slowly, her legs too tired to hold her frail body. She looked away, the she-wolf seemed nice, but she didn't trust her, even if she wanted to.Β The last time she trusted someone, her pack was enslaved. The weak young wolf looked back down at her paws, ears flattened in silent, desperate submission. "at least... i'm not.. n-near m-my......... t-the pack...".
Coeden crept closer, settling onto her stomach once she was about a metre or so away. "I can help you, if you come with me? My friend, Twyni and I can help you get set up somewhere. Or even... or even in our pack, if our alpha allows? You're too young to be out here alone and clearly your past pack wasn't the best place to be..." she suggested, watching the younger.
Austria watched the she-wolf, she felt a bit comfortable, she sniffled a little. "...I......I d-doubt.. h-he will..... but........ I.. might as well...... w-while i'm still a-alive...." The weak adolescent waited for the she-wolf to rise, not wanting to be over her head, she kept her head low, making sure she didn't seem like a threat.
Coeden whined softly, "Come on then. I'm sure Twyni will find us soon enough and we'll head back to our pack. Oh! My name is Coeden." She added on, standing up and waiting to see if the adolescent needed any help getting up.
Twyni sped up, finding Coeden and the adolescents' scent. "Coeden!" He barked, dropping to a lope as the she-wolf came into view, then to a trot once he spotted the other. "Oh, hello!" He grinned, tail wagging and ears forward in interest.
The adolescent had no trouble getting onto her paws. However Twyni'sΒ sudden appearance made her flinch and she watched the wolf, keepingΒ her head low, ears held back, and tail tucked. She stared at the ground, slightly afraid of the wolves. "h-..hello.... " She staggered slightly but managed to keep her balance. She looked up at the wolves slightly, scared. This is no doubt, probably my last day alive.. i'm too weak to survive.. even if I tried I'll just end up another dead-wolf.. She looked away a bit.
"Oh, pup, come on, let's get you back t-" Twyni made a small sound of protest as Coeden headbutted him. "Relax! And calm down." She huffed teasingly. "You're fine, he's just a bit of an idiot. If you want to come with us, we'll take you back to the pack. I'm sure we'll have spare food and a nest somewhere for you!"
She fell silent and nodded, she slowly got to her paws, prepared to follow the wolves back to their camp. She stood nervously. The soft breeze ruffled her dappled fur a little, calming her slightly.
