I love doing these! As you wanted natural, I based the design off of a red wolf, and also chose a background that red wolves live in in real life.

how about something like this ? i designed them to look like the very edge of night and day, right before the sun rises, but not quite light enough to be called day time. i thought maybe designing him to look like dawn/dusk it would play into the "equally day and night" theme. i'm pretty sure all of these markings can be added using regular applicators.

I tried to follow the theme of an eclipse! The moonlight combined with black cross made a nice blend that resembles the sheen on a corvid's feathers and I really liked that

Tried to get something natural while also following the theme. Tried to convey day and night through the countershading(top vs bottom), as well as getting across some sunset/sunrise vibes, while keeping as natural a pallet as possible. Not sure how successful I was, but here the outcome. Design
