Hi there- yes, I'm still in the desert! I would accept applicators if they're around the same value. Beyond RMAs and basic eye/skin changers etc., most are worth more than 1000 SC though.

Okay - I don't need those apps and also you can sell those for more than the price of the background, so if you have the SC I would definitely recommend paying that way!
