Support, I feel a nice desaturated, pale blue would go beautifully with the remainder of the site!

I agree blue/greys would be a good idea with the rest of the site. Something like the color we see here on the forum would probably make a nice base.

I would LOVE a lower contrast option. I find both light and dark mode are too jarring for me.
