Hello! I just started on the 28th of Oct. So Im only a few days old on here.
I did play Lioden for a month or two, but stopped that last year sometime.

Looking for tips, hints, tricks, or other help that someone could give me in this game.

Hello!  Welcome to Wolvden!  Here are some tips about getting started as well as answers to frequently asked questions!

1.  Fill out your hunting team with 5 wolves ASAP, trying your best to get wolves that have proper stats for their roles:
-Finisher: Highest stat: Strength
-Chaser: Highest stats: Agility and Speed
-Stalker: Highest stats: Wisdom and Smarts
This will make hunting much easier for you as time passes, and quickly get you to sustaining your pack make making extra food to sell!  Hunting success is based on the combined role specific stats, proficiency and party synergy.  Level up stats favor a wolf's two highest stats at the time of level, so for all intents and purposes as a newbie a NBW/custom wolf's two highest stats when you get them will likely be their highest stats for their whole life.
2.  Try not to change your hunting team unnecessarily!  Set them and keep them that way, unless you find a wolf you really want to replace a previous hunter to improve your team for the long run.  Getting that synergy and proficiency up does wonders, and unless you have two full teams making changes too often can hurt you this early on
3.  Most important: Do not set a breeding male yet!  You will regret it!  It may seem counter intuitive but it's a very unforgiving mistake to make, as it costs you 25 GC to fix.  Wait until at least a month into the game when you really have a grasp on the market to consider setting one, unless you play these games really often and feel confident sooner.  But as far as choosing one goes after you know the game well, don't settle until you know the wolf in question has to be your breeding male.  Because if you're super attached or really love them how could you regret it?
4.  Always choose "inspect" in explore encounters.  The "drink" option gives you some health, but inspect gives you salves most of the time, which equate to more healing than the alternative, even if the rate was only 50/50, which it's much higher than, so it's always worth it.
5.  If you get to the point where you can over sustain your pack sell food!  You can get a good amount of sc/gc from doing so, as you start in an easy biome if your hunters get to 100% you'll make ton, especially with a small pack.
6.  Dont buy/take in a ton of pups.  Its not worthwhile to have a lot of extra wolves in your pack, don't take wolves that don't help you with whatever goals you decide on.
7.  You can get T2-based NBWs on the TC for pretty cheap to use as your starting wolves, sometimes like 30 sc a piece, and they'll be much better for breeding than the T1s you'll find in explore now.  I'd suggest getting some of them to make the foundation of your pack.  Sometimes people even give out nice chased NBWs in chat, which I would highly recommend taking them up on as they'll be great for breeding both now and later on when you get more of a foot in the door!
8.  Every adult wolf in your pack should have a role.  Do not let any of them be freeloaders!
9.  Make sure any pup you care about is at 100% survival chance every rollover.  A 99% survival chance pup can die and it will be very unfortunate.
10.  Scouting is great for leveling, hunting is great for getting bonus stats
11.  Glacier requires 101 wisdom, rain forest 101 strength
