Do pup stats stop at/around a certain number?

Do pup stats stop at/around a certain number?

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to ask if pup stats are limited when they're born? For example, my Lead Wolf is 600+ in stat and breeds with various wolves that are 500-700stat. And the pups produced from each are commonly around 250-380. And its been consistent even with my old Lead wolf that only reached 500stat and bred with wolves around 200-400.

I have never had a pup that is above 400 at best. And I was wondering if its a fertility block, a Tier block or just a stat limit on pups? Or am I just pure unlucky with every pup I've had?

I've had to buy higher stat wolves to test it, but even the highest breeds 250-380.

To my understanding, your wolves need to be very high in terms of stats for them to produce high-stat pups.

My pack leader, Roel (link) is a thrid generation wolf, I'm fairly sure she was born with over 400 stats and her parents both surpassed 700 stats at the time (I think her father may have had over 800). I bought her mate, Ravager (link) who is also a third generation wolf and he had over 500 stats upon birth.

The only bar, as far as I know, are the stats of both parents. They have to have really high stats for the pups to gain high stats in return. I, for example, will probably not keep any pups from these two until they both reach level 20 because any pups from them before that will have comparatively low stats and be useless to me. Your pack leader hasn't broken through 700 stats yet, I'd be amazed if he got anything other than 300 stat pups right now and that's okay, you just have to keep making him stronger through exploring/battles so he can reach his full potential. Then, he needs to breed with a female that has stats as high or higher than his own to produce high-stat pups. ^^

I'm glad I'm not the only one getting low stats on pups, I really thought my wolf was just useless with breeding

I may have to do a small den clean out in hopes of future high stats. Or at least get a heir that will potentially be higher than my current one once it reaches the level.

Thanks for the input!

Ooo thank you!

I just gave it a read and WOW you have to have some stats on your breeding wolves to get better stats. Thanks again!

I recently bred my entire all-female hunting team with a public stud. A 1200+ father bred to five 1000+ mothers produced eighteen 550+ pups. I kept the 575+ ones and they'll all break 600 when they get their training boosts.
