How many pups have to be bred in order for it to be considered a Major Lineage?

Hello!

As the title says, the question is -- How many pups have to be sired in order for that wolf's line to be considered a Major Lineage?

Currently, I've been assuming under 200 pups sired is not considered to be a major lineage, though, since I sometimes advertise my pups with that, I wanna make sure I'm advertising right!

And I understand the answer to this question might be based more on opinion, so multiple answers are welcome! I wanna know what you guys think :)

Thank you!

So any wolves who have under 200 pups are not considered a Major Lineage in my opinion. Anything over that with 5 to 8 pages of pups listed is a moderate to semi big breeder. Anything over that is a major stud/Stud King.

For me, it's more about context than raw numbers; it varies based on how much I see the name around. A popular early access stud might have just 100 pups but be a commonly seen name in bloodlines because a lot of his pups also became studs. Alternately, maybe a stud has one really big son that's enough to elevate him to big-ness on his own (e.g., Faelor's father and Emperor's father would both be "big names" even if they only sired a handful of pups each).

On the other hand, a stud might have 800 pups but most of them got r&c'd or yeeted for not being t3s, so their bloodline isn't that widespread.

For a currently active stud, I'd say that under 500 pups is definitively not a "major line," and above 500 it's more context-dependent. I also think that as the game grows, it's increasingly difficult for studs to become major lines. 500 pups doesn't go as far as it used to. I kinda doubt we'll ever see another stud of Faelor or Sunfall's prominence...though who knows, maybe I'm wrong.

Thank you for the context ! <3 That's definitely helpful and a good concept to consider!
