🎨 Show us your recent art! / art talk ☕

@Kirai Oh I've actually never heard about aphantasia before, more reading for me when I will have a free moment. ^^ About 2d animation - for animations I've done, which were super basic, I used Photoshop or After Effects. c: But animation is definitely not something I know much about, so I'd wait for someone with more experience to reply. :D

Are you guys in art school or hobbyists? Or maybe even working professionally?

Ooh! I like this thread! Unfortunately I don't have recent art to share, as I'm currently working 12 hours a day 7 days a week until 2021.

I'm more of a hobbyist right now, so any actually drawings are a bit more rare from me as I'm pursuing a bigger passion of mine (taxidermy).

Though I did kind of go to art school. I took Graphic Arts for a couple years. Just a few years ago I did a painting for the agribusiness I'm currently working for. As of now I have an old duck decoy that I'm planning to repaint. I'm quite interested in American Folk Art so repainting the duck will be fun!

I will definitely share my art in the future whenever I come around to doing it again.

I'm not the best artist, but here's the most recent thing I did:

Ooo an art thread :D I love what everyone has shared so far! I'm personally a hobbyist, didn't exactly go to art school but I have taken a few related courses during college. Though to be honest I didn't learn much lmao

I'm sorry to break the trend of wolf art, haven't really done anything with wolves in many years...but this is a recent piece I'm very proud of!

Also some social media :) Twitter - Instagram - dA (not that active anymore)

I'm a jr in high school, both of my parents took some art courses in college, especially my dad, he used to hold art shows, he now does some graphic designing. Art is just a hobbie for me rn. Also all of you are so good with art!! Hopefully I'll progress more.

My most recent art is this portrait of my lead!

I quite literally never had a wolf phase when i was younger so I haven't gotten the practice in on drawing wolves, but I fell in love with this edgy fella so I think I will be doing loads of wolf doodles of him.

At the moment I just do art as a hobby/side gig but maybe one day I could have it become a stable income, but I'm not banking on that since I'd rather have that as a fun bonus on getting to do what I wanna do.

Uhh, stay strong there LittlePuppy, that sounds like a lot of work. Do you have any taxidermy work of yours you could show? How did you get into it? Sounds like quite a unique hobby to pick :D

I'm always so impressed by drawings of humans, it's always been super hard for me to draw people. Nice work, flamehunter :D

So on Facebook yesterday I saw that my most liked photo of 2014 was this monstrosity.

So I decided to redraw it! Sketched it on my laptop and will be putting it onto my actual computer to finish the sketch, but I am so happy to see how much I've improved since then!

This is only a rough sketch rn but I'm still pretty proud of it, it took me a while to get the limbs right, even though they could still use some work.
