Hi all! Back when I used to play Lioden I remember there being a thread similar to this one, so I thought it may be cool to do it here as well. :) Basically I see it as a nice and friendly place to show everyone your art, gather feedback, promote your social media and just chat about everything art-related (and not only), maybe find new friends and all. :) So, um, feel free to introduce yourself, show some work of yours/your social media or just chit-chat. I feel like once we get this place going it will be much easier to contribute. ^^ |

Sooo, I guess I will start. c: I'm Vexim and art is my hobby since forever. Most of my friends don't have anything to do with it, that's why I'm always really happy to talk about drawing or meet people that are also interested in it. :) Here's a piece I've done some time ago - it's not my most recent one, but I thought it will be thematic to start with a wolf pic. :P Plus a halloweeny skull. ^^ All critiques or feedback are very appreciated. <3 My instagram 🍁 (also please join to this conversation, it will be so awkward if I'll be the only weirdo here :D) |

@ Vexim: I love your use of light! Do you find yourself using many references while painting? Made for a friend's birthday this year. |

No problem! Your art is absolutely stunning! For me I usually use a reference for a lot of my drawings, mostly because I have aphantasia , which means I can't visualize anything in my head. I also do it to make sure I can get the anatomy and shapes right. Normally I can draw things spot on with a reference. |

Thank you, and depends! I like to do concept sketches and thumbnails w/o references (I work on a lot of comics, editorial, event posters, etc). Then grab the required references (sometimes photos taken by me, sometimes from the web) to complete the work. There are for sure areas that are easier for me to "make up" than others. I like to do lots of homework earlier in a piece with color, contrast, and blocking so by the end everything just feels "automatic" while working. |

I'm trying to make some 2d animations but since I have to use my school chromebook there's really not a lot of programs that'll work. Any ideas? |
