Red or gray heavy smudge?

Hello! I'm loving the new markings, but I can't figure out which color to get on my future breeding male! Here's what I had in mind:

Aaand red!

I personally like red, but gray is nice too!

The red looks really nice, blends well with the current markings without standing out too much o:
