I'm so shaky for these cubs, but I broke my breeding rule specifically to participate in this at least once, and I didn't expect for so many of them to hold on for this long. I keep wanting to 'slip up', but I know at this point I don't want to or can't and if any of them survive they definitely deserve it. |

My pup Jackal is also at 18%...tied in with all of Daunted pups! Lets see who lives passed RO and hopefully break the tie! xP |

Frankly I'm astonished at them. I gave all of them ridiculous names because I expected them to die and didn't want to get attached, but then they went and defied the odds and survived anyway. (I suppose my lead would call this a miracle of the Burning Heart.  After weaning, all of them now have 25% survival chance. I plan to hurl my pupsitters at them and keep them alive into adulthood. They deserve it! |

I was hoping at least one of the four would survive because it would be interesting lore, but I didn't expect all three to make it this far. |

In the sixth year of the Grey Hare Pack, Monica in desperation to out perform her sister, Akrilla who had caught the eye of Lytris, a wolf with ambitions to rise to the position of king over his own sister Trivonis, went out and sought to mate with a powerful wolf known as Khonsu, a stranger to her pack. She knew if she revealed her pregnancy to the rest of the pack, old Decrelit who was growing more and more bitter with age would punish her, especially seeing that she had four daughters--a feat she had only managed once and had since lost. She needed a chance to prove her litter's worth and made them go through the gauntlet of the egg gladiators. Her sister Clarrinis was unfriendly and refused to work with them at all and it cost her dearly. It seemed on the last night when they were on their final vigil her and her two remaining sisters, Ashikoth and Edith, would survive together, but jealousy boiled in her knowing they were both more beautiful than her--more likely to be chosen. She knew of rattlesnakes and knew of coyotes and knew her sisters too well. By the next morning, she was the only one to survive though she swore to her mother she tried her best to save them as spring broke the horizon. |
