Punished for not having puppies

Punished for not having puppies

so for every rollover you don't have puppies you get this

Pupsitter Proficiency Loss

* Banana Cream lost -1 Pupsitting Proficiency!

in a game that seems to punish mass breeding, now you get punished for not breeding....?

Instead of every rollover, why not every 2-3 rollovers.....

I agree. I understand the pupsitting mechanic to make players think more carefully about breeding. But losing proficiency that quick doesn't seem to make sense either if you want to disincentivize mass breeding.

i think it's possibly trying to encourage spreading out your breedings, rather than mass breeding all at once :o imo -1 per rollover isn't so bad, since it's every 25 proficient that they gain +10% protection. so unless you go without breeding for long periods, or have a pupsitter that already wasn't very proficient, it's not too much of a loss to make up.

Every wolf in a role loses 1% at RO. Your hunting party's synergy also goes down each RO, no matter how you often you hunted during the day.

And it's just -1% instead of the +5% if she is sitting. So you can go five days without having pups before you need one RO to make up the difference.

I don't see it as a punishment...

Also, you can let the pupsitter keep pupsitting even when the pups have a 100% survival chance by themselves, to keep your pupsitter busy until your next litter is born. :)

I've seen people buy pups to protect to keep their pupsitters busy and then chase the wolves for others to find once they're grown! I think that's a good way to keep the proficiency and exp going up for the sitters!

Agree with the above, I rather like that every role depletes, including pupsitters. I honestly havent had a single cub die yet, even when my sitters were brand new, so I dont think its a problem. People who want to mass-breed are going to mass-breed, people who don't (like myself) won't, no matter what the "consequences".

Why the heck are pupsitters losing their proficiency anyways? You're technically gonna be breeding WAY less a day than you are gonna hunt and scout. And even then, not doing something for a day shouldn't make you get stupid about it. I really don't understand why this is a mechanic tbh.

I only breed my starters atm. Pupsitter, PLEASE stop losing proficiency just because I'm not constantly breeding. I don't want more pups to worry about! And I don't want the effect going down and punishing me for not doing said constant breeding either! I certainly don't wanna waste money on pups in the AC just so that you can have something to watch over because it's "mandatory" as to not keep you from going stupid on how to do it well.

You are breeding less but you get 5 ROs where pup proficiency rises (unless you chase the puppy or it dies), so it's not so bad.

5 days no pup? -5%

5 days with pups? +25%

And it doesnt matter how much you hunt or scout, you will lose proficiency at RO
