Dreamlands? (Warning LOTS of questions)

(Warning: I tend to ask a LOT of question because I'm just one of those people that like every little detail.)

So, I know about the main subject in the Dreamlands lorewise, but what exactly is the Dreamlands? Is it just the dreamworld of this universe that random wolves can go to when they sleep or is it a completely different dimension that you just happen to only enter alseep, or...is it some kind of afterlife?

And if is is a kind of dreamworld, can.....you die? If you attack prey there, you gain a regular prey corpse with some glowing spores. So, if you were to die there, would you die in real life?

And if it is a dreamworld, where did their residents come from? The Cnitherians, etc? If they die, do they just dissipate? Where did they come from? Why are they at war?

Why are some random lunar creatures (bear, osprey, coyote) so aggressive? The ones that are neither Cnitharian, Pherris, nor Volukros? Were they driven mad by having too much lunar energy? And if so, are they stuck there in the Dreamlands? How does that affect them in the "real world"? (Imagine hearing a random creature freaking out in their sleep, but not being able to wake up)

unfortunately you probably will get no answers here, this is all lore stuff and so far there hasnt been a very direct response or information from those who worked on the event aside from tidbits. atm its purely up to interpretation and i doubt you’d get any worthwhile response in the present.

they stated “This world is painted in a subtle way as a humble start. We will slowly build upon this, though we intend this world to be the background for your own stories, your den lore, and your ideas. There may never be a true storyline or occurrences within this event, but you will get to experience how this world reacts to you, how it behaves when you aren't around, and how the local creatures function and face their struggles.” which implies it is unlikely there will be a solid storyline, or if there is one, it is something we will probably not see for a while
