Feed/play interface: Sort by Need/Percentage

Apologies if this has been suggested before, but I couldn't seem to find the exact same suggestion anywhere.

What is the purpose of the feed/play interface being sorted by cave, and not how much the wolf needs to be played with/fed? Is it a design flaw or intentional? I remember this issue being introduced with Lioden a couple years ago too. I have to keep clicking and re-selecting on the drop-down menu or else I just keep feeding the same wolves who barely need it and wasting food uses. 

Please sort the wolves in this menu by cave and THEN how hungry/sad they are, or if that's not going to work, perhaps provide an option to not sort by cave at all when feeding/playing.
