What Goes Well With Losna (Based on Matching Base & Categories)?

Recently I just set up a new Stud, Kiev.

He is Losna Based, and been wanting to find a suitable Pair for him to breed with to produce pretty pups.
However, I'm still a tad confused what Grouse House guide meant by Matching Base and Categories...

Does it mean that Losna being (Special Dark) will go well with anything in the Dark categories (Such as Iridium, Slate and etc)?

Hello! Yes, that is so :D with special x special losna giving you the best chance at the base, as the base can only pass itself from the special category.

'Go well' is pretty subjective, but basically the closer a base is to another base, the better the chances of getting a similar base. A special dark with another dark base will get you dark base pups of any tier, while special dark with a light base could hypothetically get you any base (if I'm remembering all my genetic stuff correctly).
