I'm back again!

A familiar wolf walked forward, easily recognizable by the winter coat on his back. Now, however, he had dark wrappings around his legs and lighter ones around his right eye, where it had been injured. The young adult wolf relaxed a bit as he realized he has been here before and that he recognized the wolf with the milky eye in front of him. He nodded in acknowledgment of the other wolf before tugging a sack filled with various items forward.

"It's nice to see you again," said the wolf, his voice deeper and rougher than the first time he'd come. He pushed the sack forward with his nose, until it was at the other wolf's paws. "I'd like a Winterfat Trail BG and a Skeletal Remains decor. I dunno, my pack leader needs them for something. He wouldn't tell me what." He dipped his head politely. "Thank you for offering your services."

Yawning, the familiar wolf greets you amicably. Wow, sharp teeth.

"Why hello again, young traveller. Not as young anymore, I see!" He gives you a simple too-toothy smile. Were those pearly whites always that long?

You sit while he plants his nose in your sack of materials.
"The items in question can be made for you," muffled from behind cloth and fluffy herbs. "Come with me."

He makes the choice for you this time. You trot behind him. Some of the more explorative members of your biome have been murmuring about new items at their favorite shops. Perhaps this is one of them.

"Sorry to disappoint," he begins "and I do apologize. I've not found anything new to craft for your pack." This wolf is downright unsettling at times. It's as if he was replying to the conversation in your skull. He couldn't be. He's just a wolf in the woods, offering a humble crafting service.
...Right?

The black wolf laughs. Not a loud laugh, but a soft chuckle. It doesn't do much to make you settle.

"Here are your items, traveller. I won't always make you watch me. Thank you for returning and do come again." As you turn to leave you hear him say "I'll find more recipes in time. Safe journeys to you."

"E-excuse me?" a timid voice stutters from behind you.  A small, shaking wolf stands a safe distance away, and you eye him carefully.  He smells.... off.  "Are you open for business?  I have, ahh, something I'd like from you...."

He is too distracted trying to gather his crafting materials to finish his thought.  He struggles to twist his body enough to get his satchel between his teeth, and it's hard to watch but you sit patiently.  He continues twisting until he huffs out a frustrated sigh and looks up to you with a strange look.

"Sorry to do this..." he says calmly, before...

His fur and claws melt away into firesparks, flickering away until all that is left is a young human boy, pathetic and pink.  His eyes are softer now, and he does not meet your gaze when he reaches out to you.  He holds a handful of plants in his slender, alien grip, holding them out for you to inspect.

"Just an arnica decor, please," he speaks with new frequencies, but he is capable of wolfspeech.  "For a friend.  Please don't speak of this, I'm not supposed to do that in front of anyone outside the pack, but you're... thank you for your service, Elder One, I needn't trouble you any longer."

He drops the arnica at your paws, and quickly shifts back into a more quadrupedal form.

"You know better," the black wolf chides him. His tone is stern but not rude. Dressing down in front of one of your pack's gods warrants his lecture though.

Wolfstreak leans forward and smells the materials provided. "These will do. Shift back to proper form and you may follow me. Perhaps you'll learn a little about how to use those paws, child."

He doesn't sound mad. As you watch him trot away, you take the time to transform back into your quadrupedal body. Keeping your head down you follow him silently.

"Put your paws here." The older wolf points at a mashed pile of herbs. Your claws shake and you're unsure. You're too intimidated to not obey or ask questions though, so you do as you're told. "Good. Now take the stem and cross it over the other, that's all I'll have you do." Again, you do as he appoints. It takes more than one try. This is so hard without human fingers. Nosing you aside afterward, he finishes the decor you came for.

"I won't speak of this to your pack," you wish this did more to soothe your anxieties. "Come back again soon, young one. I hope you gain more control by the next time I see you."

"Hello to you too, traveler," the darker wolf returns. He bows his head in greeting, not breaking eye contact. How unsettling to have that pale eye follow you… "I'd be happy to oblige in making these items for you."

The wolf in front of you pushes himself to his feet. After taking a moment to inspect the materials you provided, he gives you an option. "You may follow me or sit here and wait for me to be done. It's your choice."

You choose to follow the black wolf. Keeping pace with his paws is easy, and you sit beside him while he works.

"Many items for you today, traveler. Most only get one or two." You nod gently to acknowledge the conversation. "It's good to see so many wolves of the younger generation show interest in my crafting. Thank you very much for stopping by my simple shop."

One by one he pushes your items over to you with swift paws. When all four are completed he thanks you again.

"Many thanks. I hope to see you here again soon then," one last nod of his dark head and you turn to leave.
This seems like it'll take awhile, maybe you'll stay here and take a nap.

You lay down on the soft grass and cross your paws in front of you. Taking a glance around there's a lot more here than you realized. Skins are stacked neatly to one side, sorted by size and what animal they came from. Dozens of skulls sit in organized piles like morbid pyramids. Carved out tree knots and hollowed tortoise shells hold what seems like hundreds of teeth and claws. This wolf's an odd one.

Before you know it, Wolfstreak is standing before you again.

"Good nap?" He asks, voice gentle. "Your decor is finished, traveler. Get some rest once you return home. There's a stream 300 steps north of here if you need it. Thank you for using my services, please do come again."

A light orange wolf with lighter unders trots forward, a scroll of paper clasped between her jaws. She looks almost fox-like and her aura is a friendly one. An arnica crown is curled around her right ear and a satchel of some sort is attached to her flank. Innumerable stickers and pins adorn the leather, with several herbs dangling out of the top. She smells of herbs as well, and is clearly an herbalist.

With a polite dip of her head, she delicately placed the paper scroll at the other wolf's paws and stepped back to offer him some space. "Hello there," she barked, her tone soft and amiable. "I've heard of your crafting services and how they have helped my pack in the past. Perhaps you've met one of my fellow pack members before?" She let out a slight chuckle. "Ah, I'm getting ahead of myself. To thank you, I've brought scroll that contains a Guaiacum Crown recipe. I found it while foraging, and thought that you might be able to find a better use for it than I." Her tail thumped slowly on the grass, and she blinked at the other wolf as she awaited an answer.
