Yesss, Wolves and Bears both follow characters set in the verse, and I know some of the owls show up as cameos (albeit older), which is why I'm so eager to pick em up weheh! I also just really enjoy Lasky's writing in general, so I'll gladly consume any series she puts out :D

I totally recommend Guardians of Ga'hoole as a series; I adore the movie and the source material, and the worldbuilding just makes me so happy!

Hold up. I knew about the Bears of Ice, read all of Ga'hoole and own the movie and found out about Wolves of Beyond when I first responded to this thread only to learn that they made one about horses the next time I bother to check in? I would have eaten that series up if it'd been out when I was a kid, I went through a major horse phase in middle school.

I was thinking that too haha, if only they came out a few years earlier!! I never became an Official Horse Girl(tm), but when I was in elementary school and in my peak "animal books" phase (Warriors, Ga'hoole, Redwall, etc.), I was really interested in horses for some reason which is... pretty funny considering I probably had never seen a horse in my life at that point LOL

I was into Warriors as well, I read all the way up to the stuff about Jayfeather, Hollyleaf and Lion...blaze? I stopped after the third book of that series, the characters felt a little overpowered and I lost interest. I tried Seekers (the one about the three bears) but it just wasn't my thing, though I saw Erin Hunter did one about dogs and another about a lion cub. Been wondering if I should try to get back into at least Warriors and try the dog one, Survivors I think it was called.

Really got into horses thanks to taking riding lessons as something to do other than video games. I eventually owned three before the economy tanked. It was only natural I started reading horse books. Will most certainly have to check out the wolves and horse series after I repurchase Ga'hoole. They may not be for my age anymore but I thoroughly enjoyed them and only got rid of them to make room for my husband's books.

Holy shit I remember those, I still have them! I grew up on those and Guardians of Ga'Hoole. I was always hoping for one of those bonus content books to come out with stuff like the backstories of the other gnaw wolves; I always wanted to know more about the Whistler, for example.

I also grew up on Warriors. I read some of the Seekers books and liked them pretty well, too, but Warriors takes the crown as far as all-time favorite books I grew up with and fandoms I'm still in.
