Aged up Adolescent Question!

One of my wolves: this lady, just aged up today but for some reason isn't in heat?
I've only been on for a month so maybe this is a thing that I just haven't encountered yet, but I'd still prefer to ask.

Would her not being in heat (despite being 1y) be a glitch or just something that happens sometimes?

it's because she was adopted from the enclave. don't think there's a specific gameplay reason for it, but that's what it is.

I noticed this too with my adopted females. All of them have always aged up with 1 rollover until heat.

I think that the hidden heat countdown kinda "freeze" for the day they are in the Enclave (probably because the pups are age up of 1 rollover while being temporary removed from the game) and then continue like normal when they are adopted, so you miss 1 day and they all age up with 1 rollover left until heat.

Or at least that was my guess when I noticed it. XD
