Did he know for sure that everything was going to be fine or was he just  trying to make Ruby as  happy as possible and to keep her from worrying about the war and the little ones on the way. Only he knew. But he wouldn't be able to hold in the pain in, on the day of the war. But he would do his best to keep it hidden.

I frowned, "I can't help my worrying, Felix. You know that." I felt imaginary ears droop as a whine escaped my throat. My eyes looked into his golden ones, seeing the hidden pain. I didn't say anything about it, knowing he was trying to keep it hidden from me for a reason. "I love you, Felix." I spoke softly.

Felix grazed her jawline before leaning her into him and kissed her " I love you too baby"

The pain wasnt only hidden from Ruby, but from Gaelan, Meraki and Tyne as well.  " I... I have to go."

 He walked out of the house and ran to the place where he  could talke to Jewel. He did this as much as possble, even if it hurt him to know that she would never come back.
