8 tips and tricks on making SC and keeping it!
Posted 2021-05-27 18:49:23 (edited)

I have been playing Wolvden since October of 2020 and even now I sometimes have some trouble with getting and keeping SC and GC. So i figured id make a little guide with easy tips and tricks you may be able to use to help yourself make money and be able to keep it!

#1: Build up a good hunting team

-Good hunting teams are Vital! For many reasons some people may have their packs in harder biomes such as the Tundra or Arctic and will need some extra food now and again. It also gets very hard to feed a large pack once your over 35ish wolves! (this also can help you get rid of food before it goes bad!)

#2: Explore north as soon as possible

-Getting up north as soon as you can will really help you be able to make a lot of money and save a lot too! Once you scout the arctic (Takes a wolf with 100+ wisdom and smarts) you can get the polar bear interaction and if you click 'follow' you can get Whale rib bones which have 8 uses each (The Tundra will also have many chances to gain Gyrfalcon feathers with 6 uses each)! I personally only ever keep my wolves at 20% amusement (If they are at 10% when you rollover they will run away!) unless i am breeding them.

-This will help you save money on having to buy the amusement (which can be very expensive and hard sometimes) and when you gather up a good stockpile (I like to try and keep around 36 EXTRA uses then what I need after i have already played with all my wolves so they don't run away! I also have a 30ish wolf pack) you can sell small bundles at a time on TC (many people charge around 8sc per use for amusement but this depends on the time and person selling) and people will always need toys!

#3- Befriend as many female NBW as possible

-I like to befriend all female NBW as I encounter them and I do friend the males if they have a nice look or specific features (eye color, bases, ect.). I like to keep them and sell them when they are in heat! This way can make some money if they have special markings or eye colors! NBW's help keep the genetic pool going, if you have a decent breeding male (Special markings, low lineage, special bases, ect.) you can always breed them to your stud and sell the offspring if the NBW doesn't sell on her last day of heat!

#4- Stockpile your herbs

-Having a good stockpile of herbs helps a lot! If you ever need a cure you can always trade herbs and sell them on TC! I personally sell all herbs for 10sc each (except charcoal, winterfat, kava, ect.) but you can sell them for whatever you wish, the point is its not a lot of money at first but after 10 herbs sell at 10sc each you have gained 100sc

-Making medicines such as diarrhea cures and other commonly used meds can help make a little money as well. Once again you can sell meds for whatever you want as well as healing salves (normally around 50sc each is what ive seen) because people will always need to use them and certain biomes won't have the herbs they need to craft the medicine themselves!

#5: Nesting Material

-This is something I have only recently started to do because i have collected many many butterfly wings from the Lunar event, but selling nesting material in the TC can make some cash! I will say it again people will always need them! I like to try and use all my 1 use feathers and items (grouse, bluejay, large leaves, butterfly wings) to make my nesting material. Just make sure to not sell them over 60sc per because the raccoon sells them for that price :)

#6: Sell Quest items

-Selling quest items can make a little bit of extra cash but like herbs if you sell a lot of them you can gain a lot of extra SC daily! It will also really help people out to finish their quests! I like to use all feathers and carcass's to 1 use and them sell them on the TC. I don't like to overcharge someone for these items because they are only for a quest so i personally charge around 15-20sc per small/critter carcass and 25-35sc per medium or large carcass and I sell quite a few of them every day! Now this is also why a good hunting team is important so you can sell this last 1 use of your food! Same thing with feathers and herbs, many are used in quests so someone will always need one.

#7: Do your daily quest

-Doing your daily quest can earn you around 100-125ish sc per day depending on what quest you get so even if you have to buy a carcass with 1 use left for 3osc you will sill make around 100sc from that quest :)

#8: BURY BURY BURY

-I like to use the Bury feature a lot! (This is found in your hoard under the buried section). As soon as you make your first big sale Bury at least half of it! By doing this early in the game you can realllly help yourself (i wish i did this sooner!). This buried money can be used towards saving up for something you wish to buy, emergency funds, expanding your pack, or stud fees for your female when they go into heat. I also like to bury SC as i earn it, so say I sell 400sc worth of trades today I will try and bury 300sc of it (As i have no breeding I am currently going to use it on XD) and save it for later, this way I can also keep track of how much money i have to spend on other studs or purchases.

-This can also help if you reserve a pup so you don't accidentally spend the money!

This tips and tricks really do help you out, if you don't believe me try them for yourself! I hope this guide helps out some new and older players, have fun!

By using these tips and tricks (as of writing this) within the past 24 hours i have made 1280sc (this only includes her, medicine, carcass, quest items, and nesting material sales!!!) but if you add the 2 quests i completed today it would be closer to 1500sc just today!

the fishing game is the easiest way to earn sc. after you hit the 100 daily cap you can focus on getting delicate meat and sell that to the raccoon for 3sc each until you hit the raccoon cap. to tell if a fish is going to give you meat just go to the individual fish leaderboards, look at the highest weight turned in for last week, and make sure your weight is above half that
