How to SURVIVE! Get Food, Decent Hunting Group And Amusement!!!
Posted 2021-05-25 15:00:46 (edited)

Hello, I'm leaving here on the post I made on how to survive in Wolvden, I see many people with difficulties and these answers I'm giving are based on my experience and that of the other members of a group of Brazilians that I have contact through a group on WhatsApp with whom I talk. Facebook Group PT BR Wolvden Cave BR - Local time Brazil · Time Zone: UTC-3 It's Not a Clan (You can also send private messages on my profile, I'll be answering you too).

I see a lot of people without food or toys, Nesting Material, Medicines, or walking around without knowing what to do, so I looked without directing.

It is better to stay in one of the Easy or Medium biomes, because if it is not very difficult to catch prey when hunting, and you will end up catching only small prey. Deciduous Forest is a good place to stay, because you can catch 20-use prey with a trained hunting party and catch it frequently

To move your pack you have to take the quest to change territory in "Questing" with the snake, but it will be according to how many adults you have at the moment, so there is no point in getting rid of puppies or teenagers, because only adults count.
According to the number of adults you will have to defeat X wolves in the place where you want to move ...
When you complete the quest, there can be no wolf exploring, hunting or Herbalist working / exploring

You can't keep changing hunting groups ... and you have to be aware of the wolves that you are gathering in the same group, example ⭐Friendly combines with💗Romantic; ☯️Estoico combines with🔥Agressive
Rules:
- Don't mix the groups. ⭐Friendly combines with💗Romantic; ☯️Estoico combines with🔥Agressive.
- Don't be taking out and putting wolves from the hunting group, this reduces the synergy of the group.
- You have to hunt at least 1x a day with each group, because every day you will go down 1 point of "Party Synergy", just like every day you will go down 1 point for each wolf that you do not use in something (herbalist, hunters and scout; they will go down 1 experience point daily, so you have to use them daily, that is, every rollover you have to use them).
The higher the Lv of the wolf and the higher the status the better it will be in the function that you will place it, there are specific statistics that make a wolf better in a certain Pack Role.
- Of course, status matters, wolves with a higher general status are better in general functions; I do not remember which specific status is best for each position, when I find it I will update here.
- You also have to be careful when renewing the hunting party when the wolves are old, put wolves in good status (+300 preferably) and wolves that you will not change afterwards so you don't lose synergy all the time.
- High status wolves make your life easier when hunting, as a leader / alpha and also as an herbalist

Personality table https://sta.sh/01dqri0dttmy

Other tables that may be useful: sta.sh  (These tables are NOT mine and the art is not mine, it's from a player here, unfortunately I don't know her nickname, if you guys find her, I would like to give her credit).

To get recipes and other things (different tusks and other quest materials), you have to explore even with your leader, there’s no point moving around biome

Moving around is not good, it is better to be in easy biomes or at least medium difficulty like home, otherwise you can't catch large prey to feed the pack ...

The best way to get food is to have your hunting party hunt.

Critter Trail: 1 Use; 4 Uses (Can find)
Small Trail: 8 Uses (Can find)
Medium Trail: 16 Uses (Can find)
Large Trail : 20 Uses or more (Can find)
The percentage under "Large Trail" indicates that you have an X% chance of capturing this prey, as the proficiency and LV of the wolves in the hunting party and the Synergy of the group increases, you will have more chance of catching larger prey.

Example of how to separate your Hunting Part
(- Don't mix the groups. ⭐Friendly combines with💗Romantic; ☯️Estoico combines with🔥Agressive.)
(Please ignore the names of my wolves)

Reescouting is the best way to get Toys (amusement) and don't forget, instead of using feathers of various uses and herbs, the best way to make nests is using feathers with only 1 use (you can spend the other uses), let the herbs (Table of Herbs and where to find them) to make decorations and medicines, it is good to have a good number of Cure for Everything stored in case the wolves get sick, it is simply extremely stupid to make wolves sick, as this slowly lowers their stitches (Table of diseases and their consequences).

Scout:The best way to raise a wolf's lv quickly is to put him as a Scout for a while, but it's good to do that only when you've released all the Biomes and you're not close to changing leaders (yes, your leader will eventually be "retired" / dying of old age, so stay tuned to that to be prepared).

Exploring with your leader is a good way to get Amusement and Food too, you can just ignore the struggles, there are many encounters where you can get herbs, logs, food, toys, wolves, nest material and SC.

To get food Fishing is also an option, in addition to getting SC (up to 100SC per day, but you still keep getting food after completing the daily 100SC).

MEDICINE and Herbalist: Yes, I HATE when people make sick wolves and I don't accept any sick wolves or breed with sick wolves, use your herbalist. If you keep telling the Herbalist to explore he'll keep coming back with herbs and you'll have a lot of herbs in stock to make medicine, there's no reason why you don't have herbs.

If you don't have specific herbs, no problem, if you are sending your herbalist to explore he will always be returning with herbs, then you can exchange an herb that you don't need at the moment for one that you need now to make some specific medicine , at the bottom of the herbalist's page you can exchange 3 herbs that you have for 1 that you want (Exchange Herbs).

Wisdom And Smarts are the preferable statuses to be more high in a Herbalist, but you can just put a wolf of Status +300 (High status wolves make your life easier when hunting, as a leader / alpha and also as an herbalist).

Leader Removal:When you are close to your leader retiring / being removed / dying you will receive written in the rollover notification letting you know how many rollovers you still have until you have to choose another wolf when he dies.

When your leader / Alpha is gone, you will only have your home Biome and you will have to rediscover the others, so it is good that you have at least 1 Scout already trained to use at that time;

You will need to have a wolf to put as a new leader in your den before the rollover happens the day your wolf is going to be removed (you have to be there in advance), preferably a wolf with high status, which you think is beautiful or be willing to personalize (I prefer females because I can cross them later and preferably Base Genetics III), since she will spend a lot of time with you).

You also have to be careful when renewing the hunting party when the wolves are old, put wolves in good status (+300 preferably) and wolves that you will not change afterwards so you don't lose synergy all the time. High status wolves make your life easier when hunting, as a leader / alpha and also as an herbalist.

The ideal is that when your leader is going to be withdrawn you have some stock of Medicine, Food and Amusement to keep your Pack stable for a few days or at least SC to buy whatever is necessary.

How to name a wolf - Naming a wolf - It's a good idea to put the most important characteristics in the wolf's name and description, in my case, I put it in the wolf's name:
1st Base Or Name, and Personality
2nd If it is II, III or *.
3nd If he has some characteristic like Being Eyes Glass, Straight or Fox, Or if he is Melanino / Albino or Branchy Carrier
4th The total stats at birth, as this tells me how much stat I'm increasing and if he was a good puppy.
Footnote - I'll put what I couldn't put in the name (characters are limited) and How many brands does it have (Example 5M, 1M, 10M), If its genetics are clean (if so I put a NIB Soap, if it's dirty /Inbreed I put a poop, If it's II or II I put Base Genetics.
Biography - here I put what I intend to do with the wolf, eg Cross with an Albino to get a T3 Albino with Fox eyes, Pair with wolf X; Selling after taking a T2 puppy with his marks... ).
In my case I put several symbols and abbreviations, so when I see the name I already know what it is, what to do with it, what the profession, etc.
T2🛡️ T3💠 Especial🎁
Hetero🔰 Glass🔮 Fox🦊Violet🍇 Indigo🍆Purple Azure
NIB NBF 🧼🧽 IB (In Breed)🟤
Albinism🤍 Melanism🖤 Mutation🧬Brachycephaly Carrier🚩
Scout🦅 Herbalist💊 Hunter🗡️ Pupsitter🍼
Aggressive🔥 Stoic☯️ Romantic💗 Friendly⭐

Separate the Wolves for Cave Slots - You need to have a Cave to separate the following wolves:

Cave of Hunter wolves, because when it comes to Nesting or Breed you have to be more careful with those wolves that hunt, every day a worker wolf that doesn't work loses a proficiency point.

Cave of Sick Wolves so they don't keep infecting other wolves if you take too long to heal them.

Cave for general wolves in your Den that don't have a specific trait you want to separate, in case you don't already know, leaving a wolf without a Cave can make it sick or hurt overnight.

Optionally, you can also separate a Cave for T3 and Special wolves, a Cave for wolves that you will sell, A mutated wolf cave or Different eyes, Pupsitting wolf cave.

If you have any doubts or difficulties, you can ask below, I will try to answer in the best possible way, don't worry I have a big Pack, so I know most of the difficulties you may encounter!

When you say status, what do you mean exactly? Is that how fed and amused the wolf is? Or do the wolves actually have a hierarchy of dominace?

Stats is the numerical total of your wolf Level, there is the one at birth you should note and the current one.

A cub that was born with 400+ Stats can quickly reach 700 Stats with some Levels, whereas a wolf that was born with 200 will struggle to reach 800 at Lv 20.

In F Selene🎁🏳️377 You can see that she had 377 Stats at birth, but after becoming an adult Lv 1 she has 398 because she was trained, so the Stats increased just like when wolves suffer Lv Up.
In Leia 2💠☯️369 there is no difference in Stats at birth until today, as she has not been Level Up or trained.
In M Serpentine🔥💠324 You can see his stats remain the same because she's still a teenager.

It is difficult to increase the Stats (Total Stats) of a wolf, because when crossing you need the parents to have a high Stats to pass it to the offspring, who will not be born with the Stats as high as the parents, that will not be born with Stats as high as their parents, they will always be born with lower Stats than their parents.

When you use higher Stats wolves for Hunt Groups, Teacher, Herbalist or other role, it will be more effective.

What do you mean Wolves with higher Stats are more efficient? if you have a wolf of 400 stats like Hunter he will bring hunting more often for example (although there are other factors acting on this to be considered, like Wolf proficiency in the "position/Profession" and Party Synergy in the case of hunting groups ), because each profession uses specific attributes, such as Wisdom and Smart, which being high (what counts for the total Stats is the sum of all) can make an excellent Herbalist who will be bringing you more recipes and herbs for example.

This is my herbalist they were born with de stats 530, and now at Lv 12 she has 745 Stats.
She + My Breeding Male with 700+ Stats puppies are being born with 400+ Stats

So, do you have like a list or something that says what traits need to be trained for which role?

Hi CircleE! Do you mean which stats are best for which role?
If so:
Hunters (Stalkers): Smarts and wisdom
Hunters (Chasers): Speed and agility
Hunters (Finishers): Strength
Herbalists: Tala's quest says smarts and wisdom, although it seems herbalist proficiency and level seems to be more important
Pupsitters: Nothing in particular
Scouts: Nothing in particular, though you need 101 strength to scout the rainforest and 101 wisdom to scout the glacier (both until fully unlocked, then any level wisdom/strength)
Mentors: Nothing in particular, though having higher stats helps to make sure they can be 1.5 times higher than the stat of the pup(s) they're training. They also have to have at least 5 levels.
