Individual wolf rollover

Hello, I’m very new here and (somewhat embarrassingly) accidentally bought an adolescent wolf when I intended to buy a puppy for the Enclave quest. I’d want to get rid of the adol but it says he hasn’t rolled over yet, so does this mean I can chase him tomorrow at earliest, or is there a way to do a rollover for him and have him gone sooner?

I'm afraid you will have to wait until tomorrow before you can chase the adol.

Devs introduced that 'rollover cooldown' in a recent update. I think it has something to do with the gifting feature, but I'm not really sure why it was introduced.

If you are interested, here's what they said in the update:

Thankfully adols take up puppy slots so it shouldn't be too much of a problem for you to keep him in your pack until tomorrow. Ignore him and chase him tomorrow ; )

Alright, thank you for clearing that up! :) I'll just continue to ignore him for now, then.
