Slot machine rates - collecting data (calculator/log parser + sheet)

What's this

Quite simply, a thing that you paste your slot machine logs in to get a bunch of text that can be pasted into a spreadsheet for data manipulation. See the calculator (a text parser, really, it's only incidentally a calculator) page for more info.

Here are some visual instructions for using both of these things

To share your data, throw your slot machine logs into the parser, paste the output into a Google sheet (doesn't have to be the template one if you don't want to use it) and link it here! This should take like, a couple of minutes of copying and pasting. The more data we can collect, the more accurate the calculated rates will be!

Data will be continuously added to the master sheet managed by Websteak, who graciously provided the sample logs (671 of them!) used for coding and testing.

Exciting news! I overhauled the Master Spreadsheet with a calculation that determines the expected return of each slot spin, and in the long run even with the abysmal rates of the jackpot you DO make a profit!

The Expected Rate of Return per Slot Spin is Approximately 14.9 SC!

Of course, that number is extremely dependent on the valuation of how much each prize is worth. I searched the market and tried to come up with a reasonable estimate of what these items are selling for, and I even make sure to pick the low end. Feel free to make a copy of the master spreadsheet for yourself and play around with the numbers.

However, even if you never sell any of your item-based prizes, with the current rate of the SC prizes alone (valuing everything else at zero) you are expected to lose 0.2 SC per spin, and I wouldn't be surprised if the true value breaks even. But this does not count all of the items you would earn, which do have some value, so even if my estimate is super off or the market changes drastically, you should still come out ahead!

I got it working (eventually). It didnt like me copying my data into a text file and pasting it from there, but eventually got it sorted.

If you have more to send, please post here again with a NEW sheet, that is, do not include your previous spins please! That way I can copy/paste the whole thing into the master sheet and not have to worry about duplicates.
